Expansion 8: Monterrey Sultanes
Monterrey is the most probable for an MLB team in Mexico, at least based on my figuring. It has a metro population just outside of the top ten for MLB teams, it's significantly closer to the rest of the teams than Mexico City, it holds the largest stadium in Mexico (Estadio de Béisbol Monterrey is just ahead of Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú in MXC, although both would need to increase capacity by about 50% to get close to the current 28 ballparks), it's "only" 1,770' above sea level, and prior to 2023, had hosted every MLB regular season game played in Mexico.
With that in mind, here are the uniforms for an MLB Monterrey Sultanes franchise. I've kept most of the team's branding intact, with the exception of substituting gold and red for the specific shade of neon blue that they wore as an alternate a few years ago. (This also helps to make their secondary logo seem like less of a direct rip-off the Yankees' interlocking "NY" logo.) The set includes home pinstripes, road grays, and a neon blue alternate top. Expansion 9: Mexico Diablos Rojos
The Diablos Rojos are another team identity I've pulled from the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol. The home whites and road grays are pretty similar to the uniforms they currently wear, with red and mint alternate tops based on some recent looks the team has sported in real life. I designed most of the primary logo myself, with the exception of the script.

I was just going to start my expansion and had to change my plans to incorporate your ideas
 . Can't wait for the next expansions teams you already hit 4 of 6 locations on my list, still waiting for Indianapolis and Salt Lake City, hope they're on your list too

Expansion 10: Utah Outlaws

After seeing a bunch of Utah Outlaws hockey concepts, I decided to design one from scratch, pulling the color palette from the history of the Jazz. The primary logo was designed with a recolored steer skull stock image and a font called Tiger Jack that I had to painstakingly trace because the resolution of the sample photo was so poor. The secondary logo was taken from the first letter of Utah Tech's athletic logo, which has the state shape hidden in the "U." Expansion 11: Indianapolis Arrows
Based on the potential expansion franchise from the 1980s, this Indianapolis Arrows design is heavily based on Matthew Drake's concept with a twist of the Indianapolis Indians for the city connect. The home logo incorporates elements from both concepts.

Expansion 12: Austin Bats
Initially I wanted to use a slightly different concept than the one used here, which was adapted from Erikas Chesonis, since the team name overlapped with an existing minor league club (Louisville Bats) and the design didn't quite feel "major league." But it grew on me and turned out well.

Expansion 13: San Antonio Armadillos
This concept, based on Michael Taylor aka MichaelDanger19/raysox's work, seemed a bit goofy to me at first, until I realized the Armadillo head logo isn't that dissimilar to Baltimore's Oriole head logo.
Each of the three uniform sets, home white, road gray, and midnight navy, each have their own secondary accent color on the uniform trim and batterman logo. Caps & Logos: |
