Because OOTP doesn't recognize the "home" designation. If there's nothing there it's assumed to be the home jersey. Other jerseys require a designation for OOTP to pick it up automatically.

D'oh and D'oh! As soon as I started typing "A," "Away" popped up anyway. And yes, it's recording "away" as it should be whereas "home" is not needed.

Still amazed how easy it is to create uniforms, especially recreating existing ones. Below on the left a real uniform of a real team and next to it my version. It's almost exactly the same and once you have the logos it's just a few minutes to recreate it. On the right an alternate away jersey for the same team with some creative liberty on my part. One of my favorites so far. I've become a little obsessed with creating uniforms I'm afraid. Once you get going....

I just completed the uniform set for my fictional league and it's amazing how much better it looks with good uniforms and good small logos. Really brings it to another level. What a wonderful program.

Stupid question time and I am sure it has been asked and answered a few times already, but if I simply take the textured file created with the program and drop them into my jerseys folder, would I still need the map file as well?

No, but the shadows will not work the way OOTP is kind of intended to work. You might not even notice the difference, though.

Hello...I have not been paying much attention to things for several weeks/months, so forgive me if my question seems a bit obvious or even repetitious...but I am wondering how you can obtain actual team fonts for the jerseys? So if I wanted to do a MLB team or a MiLB team, how wold I go about obtaining the correct/proper fonts to be used?

I do zoom in (HP view) and they still look fine to me. For my newest uniforms, I'm just using the textured file in-game now.

PSUColonel, MLB team fonts are occasionally posted on free font sites. They usually are renamed. For example Tucsan replaces the Boston font. You need to google to find these fonts. You may not be able to find exact fonts. Depends on how picky you are. MiLB fonts often follow the parent club. Otherwise you probably wont find any.


What the font allows you to upload an image and it may find a suitable font. Results may vary. https://www.myfonts.com/pages/whatthefont

Existing fonts can be edited. All depends on your skill, patience and need. Works if you are making small changes to numbers since there are only 10 characters. There are free font editors. https://fontforge.org/en-US/

Eriq's program allows you to copy and paste characters to a png file for use within the program. All depends on your skill, patience and need. Again numbers only is much easier.
If you don't zoom in the letters may not matter much.

A Google search will provide links and images and information.

Okay - love the uniform maker option, but having problems with the base uniform, logo, cap, pants. Every team shows up as black. I'm playing a standard game. How do I get the current team uniforms to be used in my game? What am I missing? Sorry gang!

I'm having an issue with this app where the fonts generated don't seem to take. All other files generated seem to upload and apply just fine (jersey, cap), but for some reason the font file will not apply. When I select the file, it just shows the name of the file in red text and doesn't apply it.

I've tried the generated .png file and also tried saving it as a .webp file, but no dice. I've tried several of the built in fonts that came with the app, but nothing....

Ideas? I'd really like to get the uniforms I'm making to a place where they don't have the contrasting default red font.

EDIT: FIXED! Moved file to jersey_fonts and re-generated again, and for some reason it's working now. Not sure what happened with the first run. Oh well....

Hey I figured out my issue with this! The only way to type "+" on my laptop is to hit Shift + "=", but this does not affect the ordering in Uniform Maker. However, my PC has a separate "+" key on the keyboard, which does have the intended effect. Not all keyboards have this (i.e. small laptop keyboards) so it might be worthwhile to change the keybindings for changing the ordering so that this feature can be used by everyone. Might I suggest "," and "." (the angle brackets indicating forward and backward to move things to the front or the back)?

How did you create this image with the whole league in one photo like this? I'd love to show off my fictional league's uniforms as well!
