I just starting getting into this year's version of the game and I noticed an issue with the 2022 draft class. It appears that all of the projected top college picks for 2022 are showing in game as Draft Eligible 2023. The high school picks are accurate, it just seems like the college players are effected.

It seems that the 2022 draft class in game is the only year with this issue. 2023 looks to be accurate. Drafting is always one of my favorite things to do in OOTP so I tend to always at that first when looking at each new version. Hopefully this is something that might be easily fixed in an update.

Since there's limit on how many import in each year, keeping them spread out a bit allows us to get more of the real guys in the draft pool.

So all of the college guys will not necessarily show up immediately in their proper class at the start of the game, but once you sim ahead and hit that class they should generally get moved around to be eligible for the proper year.

Actually looking both in-game and in the db, most of the top 2022 guys are indeed properly showing up in 2022. A couple who are sophomore eligible like Victor Mederos did not. But the rest look fine to me out of the dozen plus I've checked so far.

Can you give me some specific names that are showing wrong years for you?

EDIT again: I'm finding a handful of these guys as I look deeper, but not that many tbh. Brock Jones, Tre Faltine and Brandon Sproat are a couple examples. These are pretty much the 'spread the class out' guys I talked about above. But it probably makes sense to set them as mostly 2022 eligible, so will fix that up for the next patch.

Probably sometime next month or so, I will also go through and adjust a lot of ratings etc for the top 2022 and 2023 eligible guys and so most any remnants of these guys should get fixed up then.

Thanks for the quick response. In those links I posted, every one of those top college players from 2022 is showing up as 2023 draft eligible in the game. I first just noticed ones I was familiar with already, like Connor Prielipp, Spencer Jones, and Kevin Parada. But then checked pretty most college players in project top 100.

I'm glad you will be able to fix this. It's weird how it only seemed to be an issue for the 2022 college prospects. I thought it might have something to do with players last year getting an extra year NCAA eligibility because of Covid.

I've tried both the New Standard game and the live start to test them out.

Edit: Scratch that....I've tried both Custom game and live start. But when I actually start playing for real, I plan on using a live start.

Thanks Lukas, I appreciate it. And just to clarify when I said I was using live start. I did the live start option in the custom game start. I've always preferred using the League Creation Wizard when starting a new game, even if it is a real modern MLB league.

In Live Start the Corey Dickerson/Adam Cimber from Miami to Toronto for Joe Panik/minor leaguer trade is not reflected.

Thairo Estrada is on the Yankees but should be on San Francisco.

Beau Taylor is on Cleveland but should be on Cincinnati.

Taylor had a wrong team id, but somehow the others just got completely missed

Will be fixed in ~10 minutes or so, along with the rest of the most updated transactions.

I started a game as the 1921 New York Giants and took them to the World Series, but unfortunately after roster expansion for the WS, the game will not allow me to add my active roster players to the playoff roster.

Only two of my guys automatically populated the playoff roster. I tried to move guys over manually, tried to have the AI do it for me, but none of them will move—I just get the error message saying they're not eligible.

According to the playoff roster rules as explained within the game, all my guys should be eligible... and yet they cannot get added.

Thankfully I only played through the one season, so it's not like I'm losing a ton by starting a new game. However, I'm sure you guys would love to fix this weird bug!

edit: The other thing I'm noticing is that when I try to have the AI set the lineup, it erroneously adds a 26th man to the 25-man active roster. In the attached photo, I tried manually moving a guy to the reserve roster before trying to manually add a guy to the playoff roster. As you can see in the image, it did not work. Bummer.

Don't know if this is the proper place to ask - but are the rookie level complex leagues (AZL & GCL) going to get an update at any point? In the game Baltimore only has one GCL team but it looks like in real life they are fielding two teams. I think the divisions in the GCL are probably off a bit too.

Not sure which one of these threads this belongs in but I just noticed while voting for the HoF that CC Sabathia is missing all of his All Star appearances. He has the Cy Young but no AS's. This was in a 2021 live start.

This is an id mismatch which is crazy because we fix it yearly and it always seems to go wrong again somehow

I posted last month regarding the draft class for 2022 being incorrect for the college players. I decided to wait for the next patch to start my actual franchise. I was hoping the new patch would address the issue, but I am still seeing it. It appears that any live start game created makes the 2022 college players eligible for 2023 instead.

Also, I was hesitant on starting a separate thread, because I figured a draft class problem was considered a roster set issue.

Apologies, but I kind of lost of track of this with in being in the thread here.

We can take a closer look for the next patch but if you'd start another thread that would be more helpful in our not losing track of this, as this isn't really what I'd consider a roster issue as such(that's more data specific stuff, whereas this is presumably a bug, only tangentially related to the rosters).
