The overall rating on the card still means squid. The actual ratings determine a card's performance.

I completed the Milwaukee Brewers Live Card collection and got the Special Edition Robin Yount card.
I got the Robin Yount Peak card for a nice price, so I sold the Special Edition card. However, all the cards I obtained for the Mission Collction are still locked on my team, even though I don't own the Special Edition card anymore. As far as I'm concerned all cards should be unlocked once the "reward card" has been sold.

The locking is part of the price paid to get the card, not the price paid to possess a card... while you don’t own the SE card, you have the PP it sold for. Not much difference.

Yeah. Otherwise you would just be able to resell all the component cards and have the PP value of the reward card as pure profit. This would completely crater the market

This doesn't make sense to me
The SE card should be the reward for collecting all these cards necessary ... I really thought that I'd have fun completing several Collection Missions - to me the fun is collecting the cards and eventually get the reward for it But the way it apparently is handled this was my first and last Collection Mission ... I have no interest being handcuffed by having dozens of cards worth tens and hundreds thousand PP's locked on my roster. Too bad, this could (should?) have been done much better.

It's done fine, the price to unlock the SE card is locking in the others.
If it bothers you that much, you can still quick sell locked cards. Quote:

huh? no you can't
maybe the balance of the requirements vs quality of the reward is off a bit (most aren't good enough for people to consider doing), but this is obviously the right way to do it. By comparison, in ultimate team when you complete a squad challenge the cards you submit disappear entirely AND the reward card cannot be sold for coins later. Sure you can - I just did it. Check the radial dial button thing on the left of the player name, then quick sell tagged cards. |

It's just like The Show on ps4. When you lock a card in, you can't put it up for sale, but you can still quick sell them.

The fact that you have to go from the left column circle select and the regular quick sell button is gone makes me think that wasn't supposed to happen. I might actually do a couple of these now, it lowers the price of all the live collections with random garbage diamonds by thousands of points.

Yeah I dont think you're supposed to be allowed to do that... otherwise the quick sell on the right hand side wouldn't be grayed out.

Wait
I don't think its working now after all. You get the pop up about it being sold for the amount, but it doesn't get added after all. sorry |

You shouldn't be able to quick-sell locked cards. You can select a list of tagged cards to sell, but it will skip any locked cards when it both tells you the price and actually processes the sales.
*ie. I select players A, B, C, and D to sell. If players A and B are locked, the popup will say, "do you want to sell 2 cards for 10 PP?", ignoring A and B Last edited by Matt Arnold; 06-24-2019 at 03:45 PM. |

Dam, got fooled. You should be able to quicksell them, and not list them in auction. Our inventory will be flooded with crap now, and like I said, on the show, locking a card in just makes it so you cant auction it... but can still get the 5 pp for commons youll never use |

I feel that the SE card should be the reward for taking the time and the effort to collect all necessary cards. Locking cards should be the option for the user to prevent himself from accidently selling cards he needs for a collection (we all know there are a number of crab cards required nobody would normally keep) But that's the way it is ... I was excited when this feature came up last week, but Collection Mission the way it is handled simply is not for me.

if you allowed cards to be sold after use in collections the prices would absolutely skyrocket. only the whaliest of whales would have the initial capital to finish anything good
there is a good reason that the feature works similarly in every game it appears in Last edited by dkgo; 06-24-2019 at 04:19 PM. |
