Ok. It probably makes more sense to put your league placement setting back to random and take you off the list. That way we can fill the spot with someone else if we get others that want in. Thanks for participating.

My vote is to uncap the current 50 point system at the end of two weeks time, keep the league as friends, and let it ride. I suspect the boards will get less and less active for this league as OOTP 20 picks up steam and other whales not following the 50 point system will inevitable creep in week after week without active engagement and updated friends lists. Like many folks here, I intend to focus on the new game but will check in from-time. Just my 2 cents...

I'll hang out until the 17th with the rest of the folks here, but will drop out of the friends list at that point. Would rather just float around from league to league in 19 when 20 comes out, hoping that will help me not to care how this team really does all that much; which is good, because I've spent too much time focusing on this team already.

Same thing for me. I plan to still play 19 when 20 comes out, but I will check just a few times a week and would rather try random leagues every week. |

Going back to our actual league, I was curious to see Keuckel's numbers and I saw that he is on 17 teams.
The number of IP is 1375.1 for a grand total of 28 HRs, which translate to a 0.18 HR/9. Pretty impressive, especially if compared to someone like Kevin Brown who is on 19 teams for a total of 2032.2 IP and 205 HRs, that translate to a 0.9 HR/9 Last edited by moalkha; 03-07-2019 at 03:34 AM. |

I have no preference either way but most likely we will not jump directly to 20 with all our accounts in the family.
The kids want to play out the new seasons in OOTP20 and I will probably take it slow since I plan to attend 60-80 games over the next few month and do some fictional leagues. I am sure we will all catch up again in 20....just a matter of time. |

Wow this might be the second time that Rocky Point was voted in a All Star by the fans other then a pitcher. Guerrero ( Who was elected once before )is presently leading by 3,000 votes at the First Base spot. He is the only Rocky Point player ever to do this and he might do it for the second time if the votes hold out. I usually get a AllStar or two but they are not fan based, They are added in. It has a lot to do with the way I Manage my team but it is kind of neat to see Guerrero in the top spot again. In 10 seasons of play for my team Ty Cobb has never even been invited let alone voted in by the fans. Cy Seymour has been invited 6 times in the 13 years he played for me But was never voted in by the fans. And the Babe has been invited 4 times in his 12 year career and never voted in. So my top four players in the 46 years combined have been invited 14 times total with only two players ever starting and the two are both Guerrero. And that is if the vote holds up this season, Other wise it would be one. As individuals the players might hate me but they play a team game and so far it has worked quite well in season play. Playoffs are a different matter where they are one of the top teams in histories to fail year after year after year to the point of embarrassment. 😁

Having slept on it and read everyone's comments again, here's the plan...
This weekend, the lists will be updated as usual and next week's league will be capped. You can certainly drop out anytime before the lists are final if you wish, but I hope everyone sticks around for one last season of this great league. I will be putting all of the usual attention into making sure that we get a full cap-compliant league at both levels. Season 15 (March 11-17) will be the final capped league. The lists will no longer be maintained and membership solicitation will cease. Hopefully, it will be a full capped league in both perfect and diamond levels, and we can go out in style with a great competitive season and crown a final champion. For season 16, everyone is on their own with no cap. You have a couple of options. If you want to see who will remain in the group, just do nothing. Be aware that some may choose to remain in the group but play without a cap. If you want to go back into the wild, just clear your friends list and/or select "random" as your league placement setting. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for putting up with me and all of the hassle associated with creating and maintaining this setup. I have had a blast and learned a lot from the great players that are in this group at both levels. I look forward to seeing all of you in PT 2.0 and maybe we will try to form a competition group again at some point. But for now, we still have two seasons of competition to complete, so please don't lose focus yet. This Sunday is another list day and I think you in advance for making the effort to give us one last good week for season 15. I will post this in the other two threads so everyone knows what is happening and can make their own informed decisions about next week and beyond. |

The Washington Redmond. When I left work, I picked up season tickets for Mariners, Sounders, and Seahawks so I could expose my kids to all the various sports. So in those early years (before school ruined it), we would try to attend 100 events /year and spend a lot of time together at the various stadiums. Nothing better than a cold drink and ballpark food on a nice sunny day. Thank god for OOTP....it made the off-season a lot more enjoyable.

Wow, I don’t think I have ever seen a team in first place at the half way point with a -2 run diff. Also Orcin, You have a 7 game lead. Your team has had some luck with a +8 PYT but on the other hand San Diego Who is 10 games back has a +31 run Diff and has been unlucky this season with a minus 5 PYT. Go figure. Lol. That’s Baseball.😁

Just throwing in my two cents. Thanks Orcin for running the league, it was very fun and interesting. I'll probably zero out my friends list and let it fly. I plan on keeping tabs of my 19 teams and not sure yet how I want to approach 20. I am leaning toward limited spending to get some initial packs but then take it slow through the different leagues.....but knowing me, I'll see some dude in the AH I *have* to have and there will go $50 to get him.....
