Lots of players, including me, import their fictional and historical games from version to version. I've seen posts about guys that are somewhere in the 2100s on their games that either started fictional or historical.
But every time I get a new version I start up a standard MLB league just to check out the features as someone posted above. |

There is a setting to turn that on or off. Every now and then, maybe during updated, mine has turned off and I had to turn it back on. Don't have game in front of my now but look around and you should find it. And yeah I'm on win10 so that shouldn't be the problem.
Hope that helps. |

I'd be interested in the split of the player base between those that find the Wolf's countless victory laps extremely tiring and those that can still master a faint grin. Any data on that?

In another game, I started with the Los Angeles Dodgers and traded away all of its major league players except for Joc Pederson to create an all-Jewish MLB team. I have been guest-blogging about this at Guest column ? CHOSENBALL: How the Jews can Save Baseball and Baseball Can Save the Jews » Kaplan?s Korner on Jews and Sports I guess that either of these could be considered fictional, but the latter moreso. |

Windows broke a lot of things and every patch that fixes 1 breaks at least 2 more. It is a nightmare @ work for the Help desk, 25%+ more PC software related issues on Windows 10 than we had at any time on 7, and volume almost doubles the 2-3 days after patches

Man, I loved XP.
Usage shows that 65% of OOTP players did.

I prefer historical but I don't play it much because the minor league system was so bad it ruined the game. But now that the minor league system may be experiencing a huge upgrade it might be viable to finally play historical career games with the same level of depth as the modern game rosters!

I know personally I'm more a fictional fan. In part because I found a really fun mod for fictional play and it just engrossed all my attention. While I do have a modern day game as well, the fictional mode will be easier to transfer and continue going with in the next game, as opposed to starting over again like modern day (to take advantage of the present day rosters).

I must be the 1% because I play all of the above.
I have long running leagues in all 3 categories and over time even modern and historical turn into fictional. Simming sports and especially baseball is something I started in the 70s as a kid (APBA and Strat) and something I imagine I will do my whole life. OOTP is my beyond my wildest imagination as a kid. My time to play fluctuates with real life, but the game keeps getting better and better and I never grow tired of getting lost in it.
