The first game of a fourth of July double-header and Brooklyn supplied the fireworks, hitting three big home runs (by Sam Crawford, Pat Moran and Joe Kelley), but the Pirates kept hitting too and finally got them with a walk-off single by Ginger Beaumont in the 10th for an 8-7 Pittsburgh win.
