I'd like to see a clock and a scores/news ticker included on the in-game screen like the ones that appear on the RTS screen. (By combining the pause checkbox, scouted by menu, and configure screen button with the quick play options on the same line, a perfect-sized space is freed up for the ticker.)

It would also be nice if the elapsed time of the game (in your universe) could be tracked, perhaps next to the clock.

And finally, I'd prefer to see the weather formatted a little differently. I don't personally care for the way it's included as part of a run-on sentence with the attendance total. I'd REALLY like to see weather icons used in place of or in addition to the text description, but at least break it apart from the attendance, please.

I like this idea, but I'd like to see how it would look on a 1034x768 display.

Not bad. Not bad at all. By Jove, I think you have it! (I hope MH and AR are following this thread.)

Actually, that guy's forum name gave me a bit of a chuckle. "McMousey?"

Agreed. I really like the looks of that one. Lined up at bottom, number on top of name looks pretty good to me too.

Yeah, I prefer the number on top and everything else shifted down, but I'm cool with either way as long as the numbers are there!

I'm in complete agreement, Daniel.

How about an option to replace the player photo with the uniform number? This would be the most immersive option to me; when you're watching real baseball the uniform number is more prominent than a player's face when they're in the field or on the bases. Leave face photos for profile screens (and the now batting and now pitching boxes on the side).

The rectangle background could be the team uniform color, and the number could be the appropriate team color.

Fixes For The Widget Screen?

There were two issues mentioned nearly a year ago regarding the widgets screen...

1. The Hold rating for the pitcher was left off.

2. On the Controls window, when you enlarge the window, text is added to the bottom of the window (which won't fit the screen) instead of horizontally where there is plenty of room.

Will these issues be corrected in OOTP-13?

Right Field Foul Line Distance Marker!

Am I correct in understanding that the right field foul line distance marker will have the coordinates corrected in OOTP-13 so that the marker can actually be positioned next to the foul line?

Batter Info Suggestion (Regarding Ratings)!

In both the broadcast & widget views the batter ratings line reads...

CON POW EYE SPE STE

I'd like to suggest that the STE rating be removed in favor of GAP to read...

CON GAP POW EYE SPE

Or, even better, have it read...

CON GAP POW BB EYE SPE (I believe there's room), or even
CON GAP POW BB EYE (In case there's not enough room).

There's really no need to display an STE rating for a batter. He can't steal any bases until he gets on base first. GAP & BB are much more useful ratings to see in the batter's box (IMHO).

Has anyone ever suggested that SPD would be a better abbreviation for speed than SPE?

Pitcher Info Suggestion (regarding ratings)

The ingame pitcher ratings are currently displayed as...

STU MOV CON and VELO

I like seeing the VELO but I would rather see a line like this...

STU MOV CON RNG ARM (and maybe DP & VELO elsewhere)

I suggest that seeing a pitcher's range & arm are quite useful to know if a batter is considering whether or not to bunt. It adds to the strategy of the game to take advantage of an opposing pitcher who is not good at covering bunts and turning double-plays.

These ratings already exist in the game, lets make better use of them!
