I will have to wait for baseball to actually start to confirm whether the G column is standard in my local paper for baseball. I am almost 100% certain is it is standard in most standings.

For hockey, yes, I find it useful, but for baseball, it's all about GB.

meh, it's still nice to know how many games have been played for each team at a glance. When I look at these screen, I usually do a quick speed-reading-type scan. Having to stop to think about whether team A has play 38 games compared to team Bs 37 is a tad inconvenient.

Just my opinion, though.

I also like the ability to have this info at a glance. Certainly doesn't hurt anything, and is in previous versions. Leave it in.

Agreed. Was something I never thought of having on the standings screen but made me say "cool addition" when I first saw the screen shot.

Who cares how many games have been played. If a team is not an even number of games behind, they havent played the same number of games as the leader.

The only time the 'number of games played' becomes relevant is at season's end and we have a stat for that. Its called the 'Magic Number' and is already a part of the reports.

Number of games played in baseball is beyond useless.

Regardless, it's still nice to know how many games have been played, especially when it comes down to the wire, and you have a guy on your team who is currently the HR leader, but by only 2 or 3 HRs. And the number two guy is on a team who has played 1 or 2 less than you.

And besides, just seeing it spelled out on the standings is nice anyway, regardless. I just like to see how many games have been completed, that's all.

Plus, it couldn't really hurt having it there. There is certainly room for it.

BTW, I play out all of my games. Maybe that's the difference?

Nih, this is very easy. You don't need to know the total number of games. Just look at W and L and you can see at a glance if a team has played one or two more than the other. That's all that matters. The total number is completely immaterial until maybe the end of a tight pennant race, or these days a tight division race.

I don't get the problem in showing Games. I like seeing at a glance how many more/fewer games I've played than my opponents.

Exactly. I didn't feel like repeating that once again. I just like to see at a glance how many more or less games the other teams have played already at a single glance.

I just like it there.

Looks great!
I especially like the top prospects listing/stats on the main page.

A thought for an option along the same lines could be shortlist as well as prospects, so you could instantly keep an eye on anyone you are interested in, not just the prospects.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the "Owner Mood" box on the first screen shot. I think that's very cool. If that info was available in 9 and X, I never noticed it. For me, thinking about and dealing with the moods of my players adds a great deal of immersion. I think knowing (and being reminded of) how the owner is viewing things will, too.
