Got this message saying that a player "denied" arbitration and became a free agent. I believe the correct term is "declined" arbitration.

I was just watching a real MLB game with the Twins vs. Cubs. The Cubs RF caught a fly ball. After catching the ball he stood there for a minute looking at the stands, then he tossed the ball into the outfield stands to one of the fans. Oops! Doh! There were only two outs.

This might make an interesting twist if this is added to the PBP. Make sure the sound track has a lot of boo's.

Yeah, this would be a good addition to the PBP.
Markus has to add this type of play and he says it is difficult to program rare plays.
But he did add a few to OOTP10.

I saw that too. It was Milton Bradley not having one of his best defensive games. He wasn't just standing, he was posing for a while before tossing the ball.

He also missed a skied ball with a mile, looking straight into the sun. Even my not interested wife found it amusing...

I've said this before, there should be no hard-coded text in the game. If we want to screw up the pbp, let us lol.

Let's give Markus some credit. Last year, he made some changes to the hardcoded PbP at our (persistent) request. This year, he made even more changes -- LOTS more! -- at our request. Throughout the beta process, he responded quickly to new requests. I'm pleased as punch!

I just fired my pitching coach, but the Transactions Log says I fired my hitting coach. Not sure if this should go in this thread or Tech Support.

I give him credit for that, yeah, it's much improved, but that doesn't stop me wanting completely editable PBP.

In my game, Brandon Webb got a hit on a ball down the line, got thrown out trying to stretch it to a double. In the box score, he is credited for a double. I am sure it is because he went 1/3 and that was his only hit. Correctly ruled a hit, incorrectly ruled a double.

And one more thing, kind of nitty... but say a pitcher has 1 start, and is on his 2nd start, at the beginning of the game they say "in 2 games" when really its just 1 game
