There's a saying that goes "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." Okay. How about "Nobody should throw stones." That's crappy behavior. My policy is: "No stone throwing regardless of housing situation." Don't do it. There is one exception though. If you're trapped in a glass house, and you have a stone, then throw it. What are you, an idiot? So maybe it's "Only people in glass houses should throw stones, provided they are trapped in the house with a stone." It's a little longer, but yeah.

It won't happen in the patch and probably not in the next release.
Much as I'd like to see it too, it's been deemed too difficult (somewhere by Markus or somebody) and is unlikely to happen.

Thanks for the answer, and the answer is too bad but the game rock anyway.

Thanks Markus I do appreciate the game that you make for us baseball nuts. It is the only game I play (besides EU3) anymore. And I used to go through games like whore go through underwear.

That may be the case, but I noticed that you chose Hitler's nickname as your screen name. So it is pretty obvious where on the ideological spectrum you reside.

Still, to each his own.

There is a workaround that involves going into commish mode and changing their teams. I'll try to locate the link so as not to lead you into making a mistake, but it was pretty straightforward.

In the next patch is it going to be possible that you can demote/promote coaches and staff to a level without having to take them all the way to the bigs and then send them back down. I would love as a new GM (just as most in real life do) to shake things up we I first take over a team. Also in the offseason after losing say your AA HC and seeing that the guy in Low A actually would make a fine AA HC just put him there. In the current system that is not something that is easy to do and you also have the possibility of pissing off good members of your staff.

Sorry if it has already been asked I just could not be bother to read the complaints. This is just a general question, and if it is not going to happen that is fine I can live with it, just wouldn't mind if it were changed either.

Here it is. It's actually in a thread you started! But your real question was about whether it would be included as a change in the patch and you have that answer. I'll provide the link here just in case anyone else might have the same question about how to get it done despite the obstacles:

Wrong. Hitler's nickname was "Herr Wolf" ("Mister Wolf") or just plain "Wolf."

The famous historical figure whose nickname was "The Wolf" was the novelist Jack London.

You could look it up.

See - this kind of post just makes no sense. Wolfie had accepted Markus' response and was apparently satisfied. Now you pipe in with this overly trollish remark? Not very nice, sir. Not at all.

Bring back Reset League.
Set up Playoffs if comes out before Wednesday meaning start at this years Playoffs and go from their.
The ability to select how people make the All-Star Teams and if every team has to be repisented.
The ability to have the DH an Pitcher in the same Lineup and Inter League Play all year round.
Have the League winner of the All-Star Game have Home Field Advantenge in the World Series.
The ability for teams call up as many of people on their 40 or what ever number in September as they want to and also in Spring Training letting set their opening day Rosters before Opening Day/Report to Camp.
The ability to hire other Teams Staff/Front Office people for Jobs and Automatic Unretirement and turning people into Coaches/so on.
Real Rumor Mill to stay like the Mets are rumored to be trading Ryan Church,Delta Hanks,Bing Johnson,Joe Smith to Indians for Rafael Perez,Andy Marte and a Draft Pick and teams best Hitter, best Pitcher, best lay down the Bunt person, best Clubhouse Leader and put it in with Top Propspects and take teams Postion Rankings and expand to rank every person on that team from the MLB to the Minors.
If Amateur Draft is held in the Off Season include Trades in it.
Winter Meetings and the ability to sign a person from like lets say the Northern League or so on meaning off a team.

I do think Winter Meetings should be included at least as a Calendar item.

This is already an option in the league setup area I believe.

Hey mgom27 when you make it post it helps if you use punctuation, line breaks, and the like. I could barely follow your post. On topic I agree with some of the things you brought up, but I think that most of it would be stuff that are further down on the priority list IMHO.

Yeah, that works for solo leagues.
Not so good for on-line leagues.
Commishes have enough to do without editing coaching staffs throughout the league.

Given the issue needs addressed, but until then, I wouldn't imagine that it's anything you'd have to do daily; the fact that it's contract related should mean it'd be unlikely you'd deal with it more than once or twice a game year. No?

in the "Minor League System Report" it would be helpful if the role of Pitchers is listed. That is SP,MR or CL. it makes it easier to know if there are pitching slots open

Most of my Ideas are easy Additions or Fixes.

Yes but in real life lets say the Mets are in the Playoff Race they aren't going to callup everybody just some like couple of Pitchers, extra Infielder/Outfielder and a Catcher and leave future Prospects in the Minors because they would just be sitting on the Bench

If it comes out tommorow then I hope it has an updated Roster Set is in it that's up to date to 10-1-08 meaning like 2008 Stats in it,The Standings as of the end of season so we can play out this years Playoffs in the Game.
