The Toronto Blue Jays fell to the National League Champion San Francisco Giants in 6 games as they fall in the Fall Classic for the second consecutive season.

World Series - Game #1

San Francisco 6 - Toronto 3

Game #1 went at the Rogers Center in Toronto and it was the Giants who scored early. 1B Nathan Campbell deposited a SP William Baldwin fastball into the centerfield seats for a 2 run homerun making it 2-0 Giants. They would add to their lead in the top of the second inning as Baldwin walked the first two batters of the inning and than gave up a 3 run homerun to DH Pat Brady and it was 5-0. Baldwin lasted just 1.2 innings allowing 5 runs on 5 hits with 2 BB and 2 K's. The Giants would make it 6-0 on a 2B Alfredo Marino RBI double in the 3rd inning. Toronto finally got on the board int he bottom of the 3rd on a LF Peter Bridwell RBI double. Toronto would inch to within 3 runs in the 4th as 2B Rickey Wilson tripled in a pair but that is as close as the Jays would get falling in game #1 6-3. SP Raul Perez was good for the Giants tossing 7.1 innings allowing 7 hits 3 Runs with a walk and 6 K's for the victory. CL Phil Mitchell tossed 1.2 innings of scoreless ball to earn the save and the Giants took an early 1-0 series lead.

World Series - Game #2

Toronto 11 - San Francisco 10

The Blue Jays were looking to get off to a better start in game #2 and they did by scoring 6 runs in the first two innings on 2 run homeruns by 2B Rickey Wilson, C Thomas Ibarra and 3B Vic Miller staking them to a 6-0 lead. The Giants would pull to within 2 in the 2nd as DH Pat Brady belted a grandslam for his second homerun in two games and the Jays lead by just 2 at 6-4. Toronto would push their lead to 10-4 in the 5th and it was capped off by a 3B Vic Miller 3 run homerun and would add one more in the 8th inning. The Giants wouldn't go away scoring 6 runs in the top of the 9th inning to make it an 11-10 Jays lead. With one out and runners on first and second Toronto brought in their closer CL George Lowery and he managed to get DH Pat Brady to ground into a game ending double play and the Jays tied the series at 1. SP Greg Lowe got the start for the Jays and he went 7.1 innings allowing 9 hits and 7 runs with 2 walks and 5 K's. SP Erik McKnight went just 1.2 innings for the Giants allowing 7 hits 6 runs 1 walk and 2 K's. CL George Lowery picked up hs 7th save of the post season with just 3 pitches.

World Series - Game #3

San Francisco 4 - Toronto 1

After a very high scoring game that came down to the wire in game #2 the Jays were headed into San Francisco and looking to take their first lead of the series. After scoring 11 runs in game #2 they came out and managed to score just 1 of of the Giants starter SP Robin Bradford who was masterful going 8 innings allowing just 1 run on 6 hits with a walk and 6 K's for the win. The Jays lone run came off the bat of CF AL Wilson who blasted a sole homerun to right field in the 4th inning. The Giants on the other hand touched Jays SP Magobei Kitamura for 4 runs on 5 hits with a walk and 4 K's in 6 innings of work. San Francisco got RBI's from C Terciero Sanchez (2), RF Agusto Ortega and CF Cliff Jackson to seal the deal in game #3. CL Phil Mitchell worked a 1-2-3 9th inning to preserve the victory for the Giants.

World Series - Game #4

San Francisco 5 - Toronto 1

Well the Jays couldn't muster much offence in game #4 as the managed just a single run off of the Giants starter SP Manuel Enriquez who was very good going 8.2 innings allowing 1 run on 6 hits with 2 walks and 10 strikeouts. His lone mistake was an RBI triple by 3B Vic Miller in the 4th. All of the Giants runs came in the form of solo homeruns as five different players belted round trippers. 3B Miguel Gonzales, LF Alex Auuino, RF Alonso Ortega, C Terciero Snachez and 1B Pat Brady all homered off of SP William Baldwin. Baldwin went 7 innings allowing all 5 runs on 7 hits with 2 walks and 8 K's for the loss.

World Series - Game #5

Toronto 5 - San Francisco 1

The Jays had their backs to the wall in game #5 as it was win or go home being down 3-1 to the Giants. They sent SP Blake Walker to the hill and the trade deadline pickup from the Rays was masterful tossing a complete game allowing just a single run on 3 hits with 0 walks and 13 K's. HE was supporeted offensively by 2B Dave King who fell a double short of the cycle and drove in 4 of the 5 Jays runs. SS Emilio Gonzales collected his first RBI of the World Series on a solo homerun in the 6th inning. SP Raul Perez took the loss for the Giants after going 6.2 innings of work allowing 10 hits and 5 runs with a walk and 8 strikeouts. With the victory the Jays will live to fight another day and managed to keep their slim World Series hopes alive.

World Series - Game #6

San Francisco 5 - Toronto 4 (13 innings)

Well it is all over. For the second consecutive season the Jays were defeated in the World Series. Game #5 was a heart breaker for Jays fans. SP Greg Lowe tossed 8 innings allowing just 5 hits and 2 runs and left after the 8th inning with a 4-2 lead. CL George Lowery came in and served up a double to C Terciero Sanchez and that with 1 out hung a breaking ball that was promptly deposited into the left field bleechers by CF Cliff Jackson to tie the game at 4. The game remained tied until the bottom of the 13th inning when LF Agusto Ortega doubled off of MR Joaquin Ramirez to score CF CLiff Jackson from first base to win the game and the series for the Giants.

Blue Jays Announce Minor League Award Winners

AAA Syracuse - (Record: 107-37, 1st Place in the North Division)

SS Frederick Levesque
24 Years Old, RHB
2015 Stats: .302 18 HR 87 RBI 45 SB
1st Round Pick 10th Overall by Florida in 2010. Traded to Toronto in 2013.
GM's Comment: Levesque has proven that he is ready to make the jump to the Jays and even hit .335 with 1 HR and 4 RBI in a breif stint with the Jays in September. He will likely challege for a backup spot since 2B Rickey Wilson has been a dissappointment since coming over to the Jays last year. He should fit in well and with his speed and ability to steal bases should be a very good top of the order hitter for the Jays.

AA New Hampshire - (Record: 78-64, 2nd Place in the Northern Division)

2015 Stats: .279 6 HR 78 RBI
1st Round Pick 30th Overall in 2013 by Toronto.
GM's Comment: Martinez has progressed quickly through the Jays system having been drafted just 2 years ago. He needs to work on getting his average up a little bit as we expect him to be a .300 hitter. He won't hit a lot of homeruns but has shown some power. He will likely be headed to AAA Syracuse for next season but could see some time with the Jays before September.

High A Dunedin - (Record: 76-64 2nd Place in the West Division)

GM's Comment: What can you say about King. He has been one of the best prospects in my system over the past 3 seasons and has been named the Jays Player of the Year at every level. He is good with the glove and bat and is getting closer and closer to getting ashot with the Jays. He is headed to AA New Hampshire in 2016 but I wouldn't be suprised to see him in AAA by the end of the season.

Low A Lansing - (Record: 100-40, 1st Place in the East Division)

SP Joe Brown
22 years old, LHP, Velocity: 98-100 MPH
2015 Stats: 22-1 1.19 ERA 283 K
23rd Round Pick 680th Overall by Chicago in 2012. Traded to Toronto in 2014.
GM's Comment: Brown was almost not drafted and has turned into one of the best pitching prospects in the league. He has a nasty arm that can reach triple digits on the radar gun and a compliment of other pitches tha includes a slider and splitter. He was named the 2015 Pitcher of the Year in the Mid Wes League and is headed for AA New Hampshire for the Jays next season. He is definately one of the players to watch in the Jays system as he was named the #6 best prospect int he league and the #2 best pitching prospect.

Short Season A Auburn - (Record: 43-33, 2st Place in the Pinckney Division)

21 Years Old, Switch Hitter
2015 Stats: .313 1 HR 31 RBI
12th Round Pick 358th Overall in 2014 by Toronto.
GM's Comment: Mendoza was a pleasant suprise this year. He was drafted for his glove but turned a corner with his bat in Auburn. He was among the team leaders in RBIs and batting average and only made 2 errors at short. He is a tremendous base stealer swiping 36 bases and only being caught 2 times. He is headed to Lansing for 2016 and his stock is quikly rising. He may be a very good utility player for the Jays in a fes seasons.

Rookie League Pulaski - (Record: 49-19 2nd Place in the East Division)

SP Bernardo Garcia
19 Years Old, RHP, Velocity: 98-100 MPH
2015 Stats: 12-2 1.01 ERA 18 BB 101 K's
Signed as a Non-drafted Free agent by Toronto in 2014 from Puerto Rico.
GM's Comment: Garcia may be the scout find of the century as he has a very good arm. He can throw his fastball in the hundred mile per hour range and has a devastasting changeup and slider. He was the Pitcher of the Year for the Applachian League. He may be the most talented young arm in the Jays system and we are going to take our time with him. He is headed to Lansing and depending on how he fares he may be returned to Auburn of the Short Season A New York Penn League after the 2016 Draft.

The Toronto Blue Jays are coming off a second straight season in which they failed to capture the World Series. The Jays and GM Ryan Stewart headed into the offseson with a plan, GM Ryan Stewart "We are very happy with where our major league roster is right now, there are some minor changes that we are looking to make but this group will essentially be back for next year. This offseason we are concentrating more on our minor league personnel as we have a number of players who will become minor league free agents after this year or are eligible for the Rule V Draft in December"

Blue Jays Lose MR Roy Goodwin to Free Agency

The deadline for resigning free agents to contract extensions came and passed today and the Jays learned that MR Roy Goodwin has opted to test the freeagent waters rather than resign with the club. The 31 yearold Goodwin went 5-2 with 1 SV and a 3.75 ERA in 2015. He signed a 3 year $7,490,000 contract with the Tampa Bay Rays. Goodwin was classified as a Type A Free agent so the Commissioners Office announced that the Jays will receive Tampa's 1st Round Selection in the 2016 Draft as compensation. The Rays finished in the middle of the pack in 2015 and the Jays should receive a pick in the 15-20 overall range.

Blue Jays - Chicago White Sox Complete Swap

GM Ryan Stewart announced today that they have traded 2B Ricky Wilson and a pair of minor leaguers to the Chicago White Sox for minor league outfielder RF Oro Lopez.

Wilson hit just .264 with 13 homeruns for the Jays after he was aquired in the offseason for SP Tom Price from the San Diego Padres. Wilson also ended up losing his starting job to rookie 2B Dave King who hit .307 with 25 HR and 88 RBIs. GM Ryan Stewart "We decided that we are going to allow 2B Dave King to run with the starting 2B job this year. He earned that shot last year and has the potential to be an allstar in this league. WWe also don't want Wilson to be a backup/bench player so we felt it was better for both sides if we moved him somewhere he could be a starter"

The Jays will also send minor leaguers CL Steve O'Neil and MR Claudio Medina to the White Sox to complete the deal.

He is ticketed for AA New Hampshire to start the 2016 Season but could move to AAA Syracue if he continues to improve with the bat.

Blue Jays Lose Utility Infielder on Waivers to Oakland

The Jays were forced to place 3B Pepe Munoz on waivers to make room on their 40 man roster and he was claimed by the Oakland Athletics. Munoz hit just .191 with 1 HR and 12 RBI for the Jays in 2015 serving as a defensive replacement and pinch runner for the Jay. Munoz is 30 years old and a switch hitter who was a 5th Round Pick 132nd Overall by the Jays in 2008.

Jays and Marlins Complete Swap

GM Ryan Stewart announced that the Jays have traded SP Jose Vargas and minor leaguers SP Tony Franco and SS Jung-hyum Om to the Marlins for four minor leaguers in SS Guillaume Lalonda, 3B Chad Doak, RF Claudio Delgado and SP Cesar Hernandez.

GM Ryan Stewart "We had SP Robinson Diaz coming off the disabled list and needed to make room on the roster and in our rotation for him. Unfortunately Vargas was the oddman out. He is heading to a Marlins team that is heading in a positive direction and we wish him the best of luck"

GM's Comment: Hernandez scouts as a back of the rotation starter but we think he has a lot of potential. He throws very hard and has good control. He might never be the number 1 guy on a staff but he could turn out to be a decent middle of the rotation pitcher for us. He was assigned to Low A Lansing to get some more experience before he gets moved up to the higher levels of the organization.

The Blue Jays have wrapped up a very successful Spring Training and are headed back home to open up the 2016 Season against their division rivals the Boston Red Sox.

When asked about Spring Training GM Ryan Stewart indicated that he was happy with what he saw "We were very excited to see that SP Magobei Kitamura showed up with no ill effects from the injuries that he has had in the last 2 seasons. He looks good and will once again take top spot in our rotation. We also had some other nice suprises as a few of our younger players really made an impression on the coaching staff. SP Christian Rice a 25 year old pitcher went 5-0 in the Spring with a 0.98 ERA. He was nearly unhittable and offensively it was 22 yearold RF Ramon Martinez out first round pick in 2013 hitting .487 with 3 HR and 8 RBI. Both will be headed to AAA Syracuse but are on the verge of bursting onto the Major league Roster"
