Cool, the game lets you start at 1901 then!

I LOVE how easy it is now to edit ballpark photos into the game without having to type in the names of the photo files. Also, dragging and dropping the position markers instead of tons of coordinates.

That's big for me.

Very nice.

A mixed bag for me so far. I've stopped playing actual games until I feel safe with historical ratings and development, especially on generated amateurs. Feels like everyone is either 70+ or a 20 (20-80 scale) in some era's.

Love:
Being able to pinch hit with a player I'm resting....huge one for me

Seeing the League Leaders on the Standings page (though it clips badly for me)

Short pbp with the ball sounds and no animation: i like the pace and feel

Arbitration estimates on the salary page....now if you could just add the $ for extentions for each year to it!

Head Scout...best change you made

Wish you'd change:
Stealing in 1-pitch mode: the ghetto pbp mode with a take sign annoys me to no end. Let me 'Green Light' the runner, no 'take sign', and speed things up.

filters for rotation/lineup pages: it's always been a nuisance to click lineup and see pitchers with their fielding stats, instead of my fielders with battings stats or ratings

A landscape team batting/pitching printout, with stats1 and stats2

Nuisances:
Text clipping in many places

crowd sound, silence to level 10 instantly

ball animation, just doesn't work for me

negotiating with minor league coaches

There isn't much option in regards to the fake teams and divisions pre-1901 because OOTP isn't able, as yet, to handle the way the leagues expanded, contracted, and folded during the time. So for the 1871-1900 years some compromises are necessary. I'm working on authentically-based schedules for the period which will be quite reflective of the scheduling in the period (and for some years, they'll be exact duplicates of the real thing with only the cities swapped around).

They were more involved than I anticipated so I couldn't get them done before release. Twelve are completed, leaving eighteen to go.
