Sure, I dont think that would be a problem. The only obstacle I can foresee, is that it would have to be a boxer being introduced into the universe and I have a whole lot of fighters already with pro records.

If/When you add him and if you don't mind I would love to take Fedor into my stable. I'm thinking of cornering the market on MMA fighters turned boxers.

When you add new fighters from Ireland/UK, I'll be happy to take them and manage them. When will I be choosing the "Ragamuffin Man's" first opponent?

Ring Magazine article...

"Future Champions"

Our roving, ringside reporters have been traveling the globe to bring you first-hand knowledge of potential superstars and champions. We are looking for the next "Brockton Blockbuster," "Brown Bomber," "Iron Mike," and "No Doubt" Norton. We have broken down our data into 3 catagories:

1. On the Verge.
2. Just Starting.
3. Amazing Amateurs.

Here is what we have as of November 1953:

On the Verge
These are fighters that are closing in on the top 50 in the world rankings.

1. Cliff "HUGE" Hughes, USA, 15-0-0 (14). On the verge of entering the top 50, reminds experts of George Foreman because of his gargantuan size and punching power. "HUGE" Hughes, from Dallas, TX, is a right-handed slugger and stands 6'5" and weighs 260 pounds. He hits like a brick wall but has a tendency to lose endurance in the latter rounds. Needs to work on overall conditioning. Tends to struggle against smaller, quicker boxers that can land and get out of the way.

2. "Rockabye" Roosevelt Chambers, USA, 8-0-0 (7). Reminds people of Larry Holmes. A quick, boxer out of Atlanta, GA, more of a boxer than a slugger. Stands 6'3", 235 lbs. Intelligent, good handspeed and footwork, good defense and overall skills. Always comes into fights in top shape.

3. Tommy Loughran, USA, 13-0-0 (7). Amassed a terrific amateur record 113-30-12 and moved up from Light Heavyweight to Heavyweight here in the pro ranks. Felt it was easier to make weight and most of his amateur opponents have also moved up in weight class.

Just Starting
These are fighters that have entered the professional ranks this year and will start drawing the attention of the world organizations. It would be a good idea to go and watch some of their fights now, before they start becoming main event headliners.

1. Joe "The Pride of Wales" Calzaghe, UK, 5-0-0 (5). Possibly the most celebrated amateur to come out of Europe, not to mention the United Kingdom. His fights already draw sell out crowds and he is carrying the hope of an entire nation on his back.

2. I.B. Goode, USA, 5-0-0 (5). A brash and cocky boxer from Los Angeles, CA. Stands 6'2", 210 lbs. Has very good speed and skills but has drawn a lot of negative exposure from his antics and outspoken behavior. Can back up his bravado, trying to be too much like Ali? Will he have the same successful results as he moves up in class of competition?

3. Vic "The Raging Bull" Darchinyan, Australia, 6-0-0 (6). Wowing audiences with his all-out attacks and lack of self regard for getting hit. A fan-favorite because of his punching power and desire to destroy all opponents, also shows a great chin. Southpaw slugger.

4. George Stankovich, New Zealand, 2-0-0 (2). Just started his pro career but has dispatched both opponents early, showing good signs of power.

5. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, USA, 1-0-0 (1). Made highly anticipated boxing debut with a 1st round KO. Looks like he will make a successful transition to boxing after being a champion in mixed martial arts. Very intertaining disposition and reminds some people of another prospect right now, I.B. Goode.

6. Jeff Shelburg, USA, 1-0-0 (1). Like Jackson, got rid of his first opponent by way of a 1st round KO creating a buzz in the crowd. His management team seems like they want to be careful and are taking the time to make sure they dont rush him along.

7. Julio Cesar Chavez, Mexico. On the verge of beginning his pro career after amassing an impressive 108-6-2 (87) amateur record. Signed with Aztec Promotions and has signed to make his pro debut this month.

8. Lloyd Honeyghan, UK. Another highly publicized boxer from the United Kingdom that will make his pro debut this month. Was 43-5-0 (31) as an amateur. Has signed with the UK Boxing Group and is looking to rise up the ranks will fellow countryman, Calzaghe.

9. Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini, Italy. Making his pro debut this month on the undercard of the Marciano-Balboa title bout.

Amazing Amateurs

1. Felix Savan, Cuba. Amazing amateur career, is looking like the next Teofilo Stevenson. Looks to be an eventual world champion in the making. Incredible amateur record of 387-21! Are you kidding, did he fight everyday?

2. John "The Beast" Mugabi, Uganda. A big-time puncher, getting set to start destruction in the pros.

3. Mason "The Line" Dixon, USA. Reminds people of a heavyweight version of Antonio Tarver!

4. Union Cane, USA.

5. Pearce Henry, UK.

6. Pat Killen, USA.

7. Charles Hadley, USA.

8. Jack Root, USA.

9. Gus Lesnevich, USA.

10. Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker, USA. Defensive wizard, great quickness, footwork, hand speed, boxing skills. Lacks power and some question his character outside of boxing because he hangs around the wrong crowd.

11. Thomas "Hitman" Hearns, USA. Has one-punch knockout power and his straight right is considered to be one of the most devastating punches to be seen in a long time. A tall-lanky heavyweight, may need to put on a little weight. Has the heart of a lion.

12. Manny "Pac-man" Pacquiao, Philippines. We were startled to see a heavyweight coming out of this part of the world. He is a legitimate, southpaw heavy with great punching power. This fighter could have a huge impact in the heavyweight division by being able to draw in fans from a previous market that had been untapped.

Catch these fighters while you can still afford the price of a front-row seat, because they will all soon be only affordable to the V.I.P.'s who can shell out for those $1500 ringside tickets.

All Irish fighters have been introduced into the pro ranks. Only one that might be available down the road is possibly George Gardner. There are just much more fighters from Wales, England and the UK.

That's no problem b-town. England and Wales have/had some solid HW's.

And the first opponent for Lloyd Honeyghan will be Paul Bonson. He should give my fighter some rounds to work and get his feet wet.

WBA Championship

WBA Title Fight

Champion Chuck “No Doubt” Norton, USA, 23-0-0 (23) vs. #8 Harry Wills, USA, 13-0-0 (12)

Norton is defending his title for the first time in seven months. This is the longest layoff that the champion has ever had outside of the ring. A lot of people are starting to question his dedication and hunger. Norton has been the People’s Champ because he fights with frequency and never backs down from a deserving contender. “The Black Panther,” Harry Wills, is coming off wins over Lance Whitaker and James J. Corbett that have propelled him into the top 10 in the world. Both fighters look like they are in excellent shape. Wills lands the first punch and Norton looks stunned. Maybe not, as the champ fires consecutive shots and looks like he takes the first, 15-8. Wills corners the champ and works on the inside. Wills is the busier fighter this round. Norton is unwilling to get off the ropes and Wills finishes the 2nd round off strongly. Norton rains a combination of blows to the head and body and Wills crumbles to the canvas at the 2:08 mark in the 3rd. Norton is known as an excellent finisher but Wills does a remarkable job by avoiding anymore serious damage to finish the round. The 4th is a wash but Wills looks like he has recovered from the last round. Norton is taking punishment here in the 5th as Wills lands effective punches without receiving any response. It looks as though Norton’s inactivity has definitely affected his ring generalship, defense, punching accuracy and endurance. Wills outpoints the champ 26-3. Round 6 is a terrific round as both fighters exchange punches. Norton doesn’t seem able to sustain an aggressive attack. The 7th is another action-packed round. This fight is very close right now but the 10-8 third round, may eventually be the deciding factor. Wills is hurt here in the 8th. This is definitely the champs best round since his knockdown of Wills. Norton lands a crushing cross to start the 9th. Wills counters Norton and catches him coming in with a sweet uppercut. The referee warns Wills to watch the head butting. Referee Alonzo rules that Wills has blatantly fouled and is disqualifying him! In a stunning finish, Wills is disqualified here at the 1:28 mark of the 9th and the winner and still WBA Champion is Chuck Norton by (DQ9). Cards at time of stoppage: 77-74 Norton, 76-75 Norton, 76-75 Wills.

Norton will give immediate rematch...

The handlers for WBA Champion, Chuck Norton, have issued a statement informing us that Harry Wills will be granted an immediate rematch. The champ is disappointed at the embarrassing stoppage and wants to win every bout in a legitimate manner. Norton states, "a lot of people think that Wills would have won the fight if it continued, so I want to give him a chance at a rematch and I will show the world that there is no way he can beat me."

WBC Championship

WBC Title Fight

Champion “Iron” Mike Tyson, USA, 17-1-1 (16) vs. #30 Evander “The Real Deal” Holyfield, USA, 15-2-1 (15)

Tyson - Holyfield III. Holyfield is the only man to beat the WBC Champion, “Iron” Mike Tyson. Holyfield punished Tyson in their 1st fight and won by TKO11. Their 2nd fight ended prematurely as an accidental head butt halted the bout in the 1st and was declared a technical draw. The buildup for this fight has been volcanic. It looks like the Grammy and MTV awards out in the audience here at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. So many famous faces, athletes, singers, actors and former boxing greats here to watch the spectacle. This could well be the largest pay-per-view event in modern sports history. The music starts to play, “Welcome to the Jungle,” by Guns n Roses and out comes Evander Holyfield with his trainer, Emanuel Stewart. And now here comes the WBC Champ, “Iron” Mike Tyson with “I’m Bad,” by LL Cool J. Dressed in his traditional black trunks, no socks and white towel cover, Tyson is accompanied by his trainer Cus D’Amato. Tyson lands the first punch of the fight, Holyfield counters. Tyson looks better than I have seen him in a long time. The champ finishes the 1st outworking his opponent. Holyfield lands early but Tyson is closing the gap and fighting on the inside. Both fighters are throwing punches with bad intentions. Tyson takes the 2nd, 19-9. The 3rd is a close round with the action slowing down a bit. Emanuel Stewart is trying to get Holyfield to circle to the right after landing the jab. Whatever Stewart told Evander worked because he won that round easily outscoring the champ 26-4. Tyson looked hurt early but Holyfield was unable to take advantage. Tyson lands, then Holyfield, Tyson, Holyfield…oh man, the sweat is flying off their heads and is landing on everybody in the press and front rows! Tyson is going to work and Holyfield is hurt by a crushing uppercut. Holyfield is in trouble, wait, Holyfield lands several punches. Tyson started the round 27-3 but Evander came back and scored 15-4. We are getting our money’s worth but can both of these fighters continue dishing out and absorbing such punishment? Who is in better condition, who has the bigger heart? Holyfield’s right eye is starting to swell shut. Tyson lands some wicked shots and Referee Corona is looking carefully at Holyfield. But I don’t know why, because “The Real Deal” always seems to respond and continually punches himself back into the round with late rallies. Tyson sprints out of his corner in the 8th and lands a hard right hook, followed by a straight left. Holyfield’s mouthpiece lands in Paris Hilton’s lap (better get a new mouthpiece, dont know what you can catch from that one), and Corona steps in to finally stop the fight. Holyfield is receiving too much punishment without responding. Tyson retains his WBC title by (TKO8) at the 2:57 mark. Cards at stoppage: 68-65, 68-65, 68-66 all in favor of Tyson.

Honey is not sweet for Bonson...

Lloyd Honeyghan, UK, Pro Debut vs. Paul Bonson, UK, 1-1-0 (0)

We are here at the Wembley Conference Center to witness the highly anticipated professional boxing debut of Lloyd Honeyghan. I am surprised that the UK Boxing Group, the team responsible for the management of Honeyghan, pitted their fighter against such a decent fighter for his debut. I guess they feel that their man is the real deal and they would like to see Lloyd get some good, quality ringwork in during the fight. Personally, I like a fighter that wants to fight against quality opponents. And both fighters have entered the ring in great shape. It looks like Honeyghan is charged from the electricity in the crowd as he comes out in an aggressive manner and takes the fight to Bonson. Honeyghan is swarming his opponent and outpoints him easily, 15-3, here in the 1st. A left hook and then a right hook by Honeyghan as he starts the 2nd the way he ended the 1st. It looks like a great round but Bonson lands some good punches of his own and might have stolen the round here in the last ten seconds. Bonson look frustrated, he cannot get out of the way and eats leather the whole round, 23-6, in the 3rd. The pace of the fight has slowed a bit, but Honeyghan makes the most of his punches and takes another round, 11-2. Bonson lookes fatigued in the 5th, Lloyd lands several unanswered punches and takes the round 18-0. Well, look who we have here, “The Pride of Wales” himself. Young Joe Calzaghe is here watching the fight between these two heavyweights. “So what do you think of the fight so far Joe?” “I like the way that Lloyd is fighting. He is a very good boxer. We have both spent a lot of time together in the amateurs and I hope we will both have the same success here in the professional ranks.” “Any interest in a possible matchup with Lloyd?” “Maybe down the road as we both progress and get into the rankings. I am just looking to take the best fights for myself right now, trying to build up my credentials before I enter the world rankings.” Well, thanks Joe, and now back to our fight. One, two, three punch combo, followed by a tremendous left. Honeyghan scores 18-2, in the 6th but looks to be holding his hand like he might have hurt it. If Lloyd hurt his hand, it doesn’t show here in the 7th as he lands blow after blow and the referee finally steps in to stop the fight here at the 2:52 mark. Winner by (TKO7), Lloyd Honeyghan. This was a good fight for Honeyghan. He got in some rounds against a good opponent, had a good performance and ended the fight by stoppage to entertain his fans. We can only hope that he didnt hurt his hand in the process.

WHBA Championship

WHBA Title Fight

Champion Sam Langford, Canada, 17-3-0 (16) vs. #21 Earnie Shavers, USA, 12-3-0 (12)

Shavers is a hard-hitting, KO artist that has some impressive wins over Rocky Balboa (TKO5), Sonny Liston (TKO4), Marvin Hart (KO2) and Pietro Aurino (TKO9). This will be Shavers first title shot opportunity. Langford is defending his WHBA Title for the 5th time. Not much action here in the 1st but the champ has sustained a cut from a punch that was landed by the “Black Destroyer.” Rounds 2 and 3 are split. Shavers is trapped in the corner and goes down from three wicked shots in the 4th. Langford completely controls the round, 29-5. Shavers is lucky to have gotten out of that round on his feet. Shavers comes back strong and lands some nice punches, 19-6, in the 5th. The “Boston Tar Baby” could be in trouble here as the doctor comes up to check his cut. The fight is allowed to continue but Langford and his corner have to be worried that the ref could stop the fight at any time if his cut gets any worse. And you can bet that Shavers will be going after that cut! There it is, just like we had predicted. Shavers comes out in the 6th and lands several punches on the cut. The referee steps in and stops the fight on the advice of the doctor. Earnie Shavers, in a bit of a surprise upset, is the winner here (TKO6) at the :45 mark and is the new WHBA Champion. Cards at time of stoppage: 48-46 Langford, 47-47, 47-47.

Great debut for Lloyd. Hopefully his hand will not affect him for his next bout. Bonson is one tough dude and his chin held up quite well considering he was eating punches the whole fight.

News Update

A major shake-up in the boxing business world has taken place and a big-time amateur will start his pro career. Billy Goat Promotions has announced that it has bought out G.C.G. Promotions and has taken over the contract of New Zealand's George Stankovich. Billy Goat Promotions will continue to manage the career path of Stankovich. They have also announced the signing of Union Cane. Cane, a 6'2", 218 lb fighter from New Jersey, USA, is a hot amateur prospect that was shopping his services in anticipation of turning pro. Cane will make his debut in December against a yet to be determined opponent.
