I really love this feature. It adds so much personality to fictional players.

I didnt see this question asked yet, so here goes.

Are there seperate logos for the team logo vs. hat logo vs. jersey logo?

It sounds like it uses the same source logo.

It uses the same logo at this time. We just asked for separate logos about 8 hours ago. The things you learn in testing.

Maybe this is part of what you asked for, but I took this to mean they could be different. Thank you all for your hard work on this. It is a great addition!

- use a "real" photo or an edited photo. Just name the photo file like "firstname_lastname.png" and it will be used automatically. As in previous versions of OOTP.

- create your own texture for the caps of a team. There is a folder /ballcaps with an example texture. Just copy it to a file named like "caps_teamname_nickname.png" and it will be used whenever a picture of a player of this team will be generated It's just a bitmap file and can easily be edited.

- same for jerseys

- you can also just click on a button "New picture" if you don't like the picture of a player. A new picture will then be generated.

That would go back to the primary/secondary logo suggestion I made for OOTP2006. Mind you, that was intended for display on the game screens to reduce the rather large variety of sizes team logos were displayed in, but the essence of the idea is the same. Hmmm, I'll have to note that in the relevant beta thread...

Are the FaceGen images going to be facing straight ahead or will they be slightly turned to one side like the ones that Layton's FaceTool produced?

Currently each picture is different. On one picture the player turns the head to the left, on the other he turns it to the right, on the next he turns it straight to the "camera". It's random. But in each picture he *looks* straight into the "camera"
We're just trying to "copy" the player pics fromthe MLB site and other sites, to make it as realistic as possible.

I will add that to the list. It's a matter of 3 minutes to add that "provisionally" (like: add a logo file with team name to the /ballcaps folder and it will be used)- but it's better to discuss this in the team.

I'm not that smart. If we were smart, and really clever, the idea would have come up in December instead of yesterday.

Andreas said there should be a way.

Can't access that page. Would love to see an example.

I can't view this either. I would love to see these examples though....is it possible to put them on a page that's publically accessible?

Do the torsos turn from one side to the other as well? If so, does this mean that there will be more than one source used for uniforms? Custom uni makers will be anxiously awaiting your answer with bated breath.

The torso will turn, too. We could also fix it. It's always the same model, but when we render the picture, we can set the angle of view to whatever we want to.

The jerseys will be only one 3D model. You cannot customize that model.

BUT: the texture (the image which is being attached to the 3D model) is a simple bitmap file in png format which you can edit. And you can name it using the team name, so that it will be used by that team automatically.

In other words: you can design your own jerseys for each team if you want to!
