Cue the inevitable discount/no-discount/customer is always right/economic theory snark that always seems to come up around this time of year.

![]() I'd bet good money (if I had any) that someone will start a poll along the lines of "Will 2007 be better than 2006?" |

Will the 1-100 and 100+ visible ratings be available? Stupid question I know, but I never did get 2K6.

I know I have soaked every last dime out of 6.5 and then some! I like 2006 and I have been playing it religiously. It is a steal for the price, IMO.

I just wanted to add that this is one feature that is a 'must' for me. I'd hate to think I'd have to start a half or whole season over just to get to opening day. In fact, it might even make it a deal-breaker for me as to whether or not to get OOTP 2007.

Regardless of what happens, it will be infinitely better than other games (even SI's FM and EHM) where you can't port over old dynasties whatsoever. Not to mention EA, 2K Sports and Sega

Betty Crocker does it...sorta. There more Betty Crocker products you buy, the more points you get to buy a cookbook! Different movie companies do it too, you buy 5 DVDs from them, you get the sixth free. Companies do it...its not unheard of. I'm not saying that Markus/OOTP should do it...but it isn't as ridiculous as you make it seem. |

Of course, in the computer game space it's rare, if not unheard of. I can't think of any examples off-hand.
Of course, computer game companies sometimes offer older versions of their products for free. Kinda like, well, OOTP5 being free right now!

Please, please, please Markus make this one easier to use, easier to navigate, less cumbersome etc. Feel free to add all kinds of layers, depth etc. but keep the basics out in the open for us, right on the surface. Ex. I want to see their potential ratings and actual ratings bold and in my face on the player card, not some smallish text that blends in with the rest of the page! Little changes like that mean a big deal for some of us. I want to be able to flip back and forth through the most important screens quickly and easily like we could in OOTP 6.5.
Being overly complicated and time-consuming to use is a huge detriment to online leagues or casual, solo players. It's nice to have all these extra stats, tons of information on every page, so much to toy and tinker with but if everyone continues to use OOTP 6.5 who cares? It's another wasted product. I truly hope the testers will hound him to fix this area if he hasn't improved it much and we can go back to having the useability of 6.5 with all the depth and options of 2006. OOTP 6.5 was fun and easy to use. It felt like a game but with enough accuracy and depth to please historical simmers. OOTP 2006 just feels like "work", made for historical simmers or true stat-heads who often times don't care as much about having quick sims (user work, not computer sim speed) or the online league component. ![]() I'm not saying its ridiculous per se, just that its different in that you are purchasing a product once a year rather than several times a week. Also, while a discount for loyal customers would be something I would love, I would think that being a definitive "loyal" customer would mean buying the product you love at full price each year without a second thought as to if you deserve a dicount. just my 2 cents
