Just finished. No errors. First glance - - - Looks great ! ! ! Outstanding, Larry. BIG thumbs up on the contribution. Already did my coaches, etc . . . but know that's on the table for you. Good luck with all. You'll be hearing from me with any questions. Again, VERY NICE!

Is it possible to create a program just like this, but with logos? I would think it'd be easier to hunt down logos then pictures of players...?

Do you have a collection of russian pictures? If so, if you could send them to me, I will fix program to look for the Russia folder.

I'm not sure if this on your plate, but would it be possible in a future version to allow us to create a folder for a specific nation (like the default Japan one). So if we're creating a league in say, Ghana (
), it will only use photos from there?

Yes, as mentioned in the early threads, if you have a collection of nation photos, get me a copy of it and I will include it.
Once I get a few (all I have now is the Japan), I will add the ability to add your own folders that way.

Question time:
I can't seem to even get Framework installed correctly, but I don't really know which version I'm getting, so which is the best? I think right now I've got something like 86 or something, and it always faults when I'm installing because it can't find a certain .dll file. Anyone possibly know a quick fix, I know this isn't Microsoft, but, you know how things would go if I went there...Thanks |

And no, I do not. I created a folder called 156 and copied all photos in the RANDOM directory there hoping that would help. Still, only some players were given photos and they only came from the RANDOM directory. No Japanese players were given photos from the 98 directory (some were given black player photos). If you want, I can give you a zip copy of my league dat files so you can try it and see why it isn't working. It'll obviously be easier to debug if you have my exact league. I have the net framework installed, and I downloaded the pictures and put them in the right place. The I download the setup file. When I run setup.exe I get a box popup that says "Verifying application requirements", that disappears... and nothing. The program won't install (Edit: I see that it won't install, but runs from the server - don't know what I supposed to be seeing, but it's not working).
I successfully installed AULogo, but AutoFace is a no-go. Any ideas? Edit again: I think I'm having a similar problem to tkirch in this post earlier in the thread. Edit III: AULogo installed, but it does exactly the same thing - when I try to run it a box pops up saying "Verifying application requirements" for a couple seconds, that disappears, and then nothing. Any help would be much appreciated. These look like incredible utilities, we're indebted to their creator, and I'm chomping at the bit to try them out.

I notice that you say you 'download the setup'. What happens if you just click on it and run it, not download it?

Nifty program.
I used it to assign random photos to players in a fictional league. It's weird to see a picture of 40-year-old Roger Clemens assigned to a 21-year-old rookie. Is it possible to eliminate real ML players from the random folder? Or create a separate folder with photos of non-ML players? Just asking. Thanks. |

Look in the control panel under remove programs and remove it from there. Then go to the download site with IE and see if it works from there.

I started adding keywords to each picture and then I figured out that this was going to take forever.
So, not wanting to give up, I started writing a routine to create the keywords for me. Here is how it works: It looks at the file name, it first removes the *.png from it. It then removes any numbers from it that appear at the end of the name. So, 76ers are ok, but ducks96 will become ducks. It then changes all of the _'s into spaces. It then removes the last character in the keyword if it is a 's'. Why does it do that? Good question. When you search for keywords, it will also remove the S, if it is the last character in the word. This will make the search work better, as if you search for DUCKS, it would not find DUCK. However, if you search for DUCK and there is a DUCKS, it would find that. So I may leave the S on, not sure yet! LOL! It would then look through a word list, that contains words like NEW YORK, RED SOX, WHITE SOX and combine those as one keyword. This way, if you seach for White Sox, it won't show you the Red Sox logos. The idea is to make it as easy as possible to logoize you league. There are many ways to use the program. Suggestion to logo makers. Let's get some kind of format here for logo names. I suggest this: Make the logo name consist of keywords. So you can identify what the logo is by the name. Do not use spaces in the name, use _ instead. detroit_tigers.png. Use dashes between the team names... New-York_yankees.png If the logo does not have a 'city' in the name, do not include it in the name. If you use a number at the end of the name, add it with a _. Boston_red-sox_23.png If the logo is just a letter, start it out with the word LETTER, i.e. It is just the Boston Red Sox's "B". Call it LETTER_Boston_red-sox.png. You guys are so creative with the logos, lets add that creativity to the logo names, since the logo name has to be changed for each league, why not?

I have also figured out why the switching of leagues (games) was not working properly. When the form is loaded, certain variables are loaded at that point, based on the last league you worked on. When you hit load league, it does not set some of those variables. I have resolved this problem by having it run the load form routine again.
It will be in the next update, which will be in a few days, while I finish the keyword routine.

The file I downloaded contains 37,395 files (295MB). That is the right file, correct?
