I keep hoping that the lack of word from Markus lately is because he is busy at work putting this in.

I can understand the lack of word though. Whether he never thought of it before people spoke up for it or whether he's been struggling all along to make it work I doubt he wants to come on here and say "I'll do it" unless he knows it's A) going to work and B) not going to mess up the rest of the game. It's much better for him to come on here one day and say "I did it" or "I didn't do it, here's why" then give us vague hints or empty promises that can't be fulfilled.

I just keep waiting for Markus to come out of the shadows, like he does, and say "It's in", and then disappear again.

The game will use the altered schedule, and once a team wins the requisite four games the rest of the games (if any are remaining) are removed. Quote:
In 1973, the regular season ended on Sun. Sept. 30, but the LCS didn't start until Sat. Oct. 6. That's a five day layoff. Similarly, in 1975 the regular season ended on Sun. Sept. 28 but the LCS didn't begin until Sat. Oct. 4, another five days the teams were idle. Lastly, in 1976, it was the same thing again: the regular season ended on Sun. Oct. 3 but the LCS didn't start until Sat. Oct. 9, giving the clubs five days off. |

LGO, yes MLB has allowed some fairly long breaks in the past, but every team was taking those five days off. So it was still fair. I am not sure it is fair to have the other teams play and stay in form while the best teams have to stay home and just play simulated games and get full of rust.

When your team qualifies for the playoffs after a long regular season, which scenario would you rather have; (1) immediately facing another qualifying team in a short series, with elimination on the table (and crippling injuries possible even for a winner), or, (2) a few days to rest your pitchers, heal injuries, throw a rally for the fans, and play exhibitions against the farm team (to keep from getting "rusty"), while other playoff teams scrap it out and eliminate each other?
