Where do you find what draft picks you have in online leagues? In offline I would just see it in the trade proposal window but this is disabled in our online league.

The easiest way that shouldn't be locked is checking the Box in the NHL Entry Draft screen.

Add additional Managers when you start the game. You swap them by going to the Manager Tab, and clicking on Select Active GM.

Then when the League Expands, you can choose to control those teams as well. It should be an option.

From what I recall (at least in my online league), that box doesn't update with the current year's draft picks until after the season is over.

I know of no option in online leagues unless you are logging in as a commish.

Ah, okay. I'm not as familiar with the online version as I should be (but am learning). Your best bet then may be to bug your commissioner. There are a variety of ways for him to quickly check.

Yes, you have the option to choose coach and GM or just GM. If you choose just GM, then the AI will select the lineup and tactics. Or even if you choose to be coach and GM, you can still have the AI choose those as well, but you have the option of over riding it if you don't like it's choices. When you take over a team, you can choose whether to be GM and coach or just GM. Also, make sure you assign your assistant all corresponding jobs in the managers tab that you don't want to do.

do the AI actually set up proper tactics and do different coaches have different tactics aswell? so they dont all have the same tactics they run

coach's have preferences from very defensive to very offensive along with a physical preference (physical + offensive , technical strong, balanced etc.)

Quick question. For some reason when editing some player attributes, the displayed attributes in the Ratings tab are all 1 lower than they are in the Edit tab. It does not bother me too much, but I wonder if there is an explanation?

My understanding is that this is a byproduct of inexact scouting, and that the ratings in the tab and the hidden "true" ratings (that you see in the edit tab) will align as you play a player over time.

That makes sense. I had thought for some reason that you automatically knew the correct ratings of all the players in your system, but it makes sense that there is some uncertainty about some of them. Cheers.

Going to need more details here.

What league are you in? Does your team actually have money you can do that with? Money doesn't flow freely, it needs to be worked out of your budget.

I just started a standard league with the Oilers. How do I find out if I have money? I'm new to this so I'm just a little confused.

You can only add money in historical NHL games I believe. The current NHL does not allow financial transactions in trades other than retaining salary which is not an option yet.

Anyone using a league that has balanced divisional games? My OCD makes it hard to play with leagues that have unbalanced divisional games. Thanks.

I drafted a player from Sweden 3rd overall, he wont sign with my team keeps saying "player doesn't want to play in north america". Did I get snub'd or will he change is mind next year? Also is there any way to see that he might not want to sign in north America before drafting him? (scouting)

There is a variety of ways to get around that, depending on what you're playing. Don't like the current NHL structure? Consider playing for 1 year and July 1st, creating two new franchises. Start a Fantasy League, play Historical. You might be better asking about this in the Mods section if these are not something you want to do.

He will likely change his mind next year. As far as I know, there's no way to tell how a player may feel, but when you're dealing with Foreign and College Hockey Players, it is something that you have to deal with.

I don't have an issue with the NHL structure, I just like to play smaller leagues 12-16 teams. I can ask in the mods section. Thanks.
