Weird and frustrating one. After an initial fantasy draft (generated players), I went into the transactions screen to begin my usual promotion/demotion process. For some reason, each time I promote a hitter to the active roster, they turn into a reliever. This happens whether I drag them up or do the right-click and place on active roster. Not only that, but all their hitting and fielding ratings went away.
Just bought and downloaded the game yesterday. (Windows 7) |

Windows 8.1, latest patch.
"Hall of Fame Voting Begins" is displaying as "Hall of Fame Voting Voting Begins", with a word duplicated. |

With latest patch, just had something strange happening - actually - 3 strange things...
1) Pitching Rotation - strict rotation - SP can not come in relief team has 6 pitchers in the bullpen. after 8, starter pulled for .... next pitcher in rotation - ARGH!!! and he goes next 11 innings of 19 inning game - go to rotation and his spot in rotation is now blank. Did latest patch break this???? 2) One team ;magically' has 4 of 8 hitters in lineup and depth chart 'blank'. I re-ran ask manager for all lineups and depth charts and both filled again same day #1 and #2 happens.. 3) Instead of 4 players, another team has no SS in depth chart and where he was hitting in 2 hole is blank - I ran 'ask manager for all lineups and depth charts' and they are back... Is this going to happen again???? I am in my 4th season after the patch and this is first time it has happened - no injuries, no suspensions - pitching rotation issue is troubling...

I had BSOD crashes that followed the game locking up in 2 previous versions of OOTP that led to corrupted saves, and much pounding of the desk in frustration for forgetting to backup my saves.
I just had exactly the same issue happen with OOTP 16 (latest patch, steam version), but fortunately without the corrupted save this time. On each occassion, it was Spring training, I was playing through a whole game (I like playing every game!), and I was drag and dropping a player to pinch hit when it locked up. So maybe there's an issue caused by making too many roster changes during a game that can cause crashes? - The game's usually pretty stable in season, but a 60man spring training roster and desire to get everyone some playing time, leads to lotsa switches in Spring Training, and that seems to always be when I get hard crashes. |

New issue with the patch.
In a no-DH lineup, if you set the pitcher to bat eighth, your home page will claim #8 is an open spot. |

I had no trouble backing up my game, but at some point after the new patch was released (do not know if it was before or after I installed it) I keep getting this message when I try to backup my game...
Error during backup function. The backup could not be updated!

Since the last update, I can't permanently edit the rollover. I find it irritating and want it off. I set box to never use rollover, and it's fine until I quit. Then when I restart the next day, it's back to the original setting. Not a major issue, just a pain to have to reset every day.

It's like that because that spot will be filled by a different player each day

I am seeing #1 here in a game right now. It is very frustrating. My "6th starter" is the only truly available pitcher to me in this game and I can't bring him in..... This was working fine before I installed the latest patch. I have tried to play this game 4(!) times now. I removed reliever Joe Nathan from my rotation thinking this was the problem. But the game still won't allow me to put him into the game. I don't know what to do at this point. I wish I had a link to the previous patch..... Bugs in the Historical stats
I found several bugs in the Historical stats for teams and players.
1) Shutouts-Career. The numbers shown to represent SHO for a pitcher in their career are actually the career IP for the pitchers. 2) Team Games Played in Batting and Pitching Registers. The number of games played in 2008 are grossly exaggerated. For example, the 2008 Toronto Blue Jays played 2244 games. The Boston Red Sox, in the same year, played 2281 games. This is actually a recurring bug from previous OOTP Baseball game. Sorry if these issues have already been discussed on this Thread. |

I just upgraded to OOTP 16 and successfully imported my game from OOTP 15. I don't think it should matter either way, but my league was in mid-season when I did the import, and I play in Commissioner Mode.
Two bugs I've run into right off the bat: 1. Prob Win is either 1% or 99% for both teams the entire game. No matter what the score is or what the inning is, one team is shown to have a 99% chance to win. 2. Owner Goals - When I first started my existing league in OOTP16 in August, I received 3 identical owner goals messages. After simming one day, I received another message saying the same as the previous 3...that my owner needs time to evaluate the team. Help?

All the team stats for deleted leagues have been deleted, even teams that were previously in the leagues that are active. This includes both minor and major leagues. The St. Louis Gunners were in my primary major league, but finished their existence in an indie league that has since been deleted, and now have no stats other than their 192-288 record with the majors. Same situation with the Rock Island Independents , who played all but one season as a major league team. The deletion of team records happened after I de-selected the option to delete the stats of minor league players upon retirement.
The game is crashing when attempting to access records for the 1920 (first) season as a possible result of this. I recently got news that 30-something year old playing in an international training facility has been suspended for failing a drug test. Problem is, international FA setting have been turned off for at least 10 years, and the player was signed with a team that had ceased to exist in 1926. I had to manually release the player, and there's no way to see if any other players The storyline about a player getting married mentions Facebook, which doesn't exist in 1940. (Very low priority) Edit: Restoring a backup save does not fix the crashing problem, and simply attempting to click on a deleted indie team crashes the game instead of giving me a sort of "Team no longer exists" error like it should. Is my database corrupt? Is there a way to fix this so I don't run the risk of a hard crash while playing? I tried to activate a version on Windows to see if the problem is mac-specific but I can't find my license key. Last edited by bagelman; 07-14-2015 at 08:37 AM. |

FA/QO Draft Compensation Pick error
Here's the timeline (online league):
Player signs with TEAM A for six years. Near end of fourth season player suffers a long term injury and is out for the rest of the season. Player is waived by TEAM A while on the DL. TEAM B claims player off waivers but player never plays for TEAM B as he is still injured. Season ends and player's team option is voided. Player is extended a qualifying offer and declines becoming a free agent on FA date. Player is deemed COMP ELIGIBLE in the FA pool. Player signs with another team eventually. TEAM B receives a sandwich compensation pick noted in draft order. I believe this to be a bug as when the player changes teams mid-season, regardless of DL, injury status or being claimed off waivers, should his compensation eligible status not cease with the transaction? First time I have seen this happen in, admittedly, a unique set of cricumstances. |

Draft is weird
During the draft ALL the 2 to 5 star prospects have a very low or low leadership, intel and work ethic. The 1 star guys it's normal.
Is this going to screw my league? I've never seen this happen before. Any thoughts? |

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but I play all of my games out.
In broadcast mode, if you hit enter and play out the at bat (not pitch by pitch mode). If the player gets a hit, and click on the player (on first or second or third) that just got a hit and he will get up again. And if he gets another hit, he will be on the bases twice. (Edit: I just did some more testing, apparently this doesn't happen every time and I can't figure out what the trigger is that makes this happen (ie. switch hitter or certain batter in the lineup). Sometimes it just "appears" to happen but in actuality it doesn't (like below)) If you do it and the player doesn't get a hit, the player will appear to get up again, but in actuality (via the game log) he doesn't. As far as I know, this has been in the game since I've had it and I was a prepayer. I just never made mentioned of it assuming somebody else would have discovered it by now. |
