Windows 7, I have the latest version of OOTP as of July 4, the error I am seeing is that the potential of a player is whatever is the newest update on the player rankings. For example if a player has a surge in potential and goes from March having a potential of 35, to May a potential of 45, June of 55, July of 60, the Scouting report page of a player page will have 60 for each month previous. However the Development page will show the 35, 45, 55, 60, etc....

each of the categories on the Scouting Reports page (Contact, Power, Eye) are correct, only error is the potential.

This may be the most annoying thing in recent memory. Getting a message every day that a player is eligible to come off the DL when he isn't on the DL. I've been forced to edit a serious injury in order to stop the message. I don't do edits.

Not a bug (or is it?) but I feel like lack of range should have more of a negative effect on the 2B rating than it currently has. Seem like 3B and 2B are even when it comes to qualified range. Too many guys with 2 or 3 range (2-8 scale) are playing and stinking it up at 2B for the AI.

Its normal to see a player with 2-3 range with a 5-6 2B rating. Which is average-above average on a 2-8 scale. These player's zone ratings are god awful.

Same issue, all my career pitching from WAR down has lost the plot. Sure it's only since the recent patch. Batters are ok.

This issue has existed for a few versions now - and i just don't think anyone has called attention to it. If you go to team history to look at your entire retinue of pitchers over their history - the sort feature is broken for the pitchers - but not the batters.

The pitchers sort by first digit - so that pitchers who played for a single team 10, 11, 12, etc years - show up above 1 year players - instead of above 9....see below screenshot

My online league does not allow the trading of recently drafted players. (I checked the box is still unchecked after conversion to 16.) Yet when I plug in a trade with a recently drafted player the game no longer informs me like it did under 15.

With the latest patch, I keep getting pop-ups that say a player on my MLB roster is eligible to come off the DL when the DL time expires, but is still injured for a good period of time. It gets annoying when it happens every in-game day.

Twice now, since the last patch, I have had the game freeze (spinning cursor wheel) when I selected "Leave Game". When this happens I reload the game and it is as if the baseball game that I had finished and tried to leave never happened. I was then able to play the game over and it worked fine (even better cause I lost the first time and won the second).


It has happened twice, but more often than not it "leaves the game" just fine.


After it happened the first time when I went to replay the game it told me the game had been cancelled due to weather and was pushed off to a double header where I played it, and the second game, just fine. I played at least 4 games after that and it now just happened again (after I won a hard game).

I've posted/discussed this issue on the regular OOTP16 forum but think I should also post it as a bug.

I'm playing fictional with full minor leagues. I have max age set at all levels below AAA -- 28 years old at AA down to 23 years old at the lowest rookie league level.

What I'm seeing is that some players 29 years old and above are being demoted to a team's lowest-level club. These are usually players who are playing badly at AAA. I think the AI determines that such a player should be demoted but he cannot (because of his age) be sent to AA, A, or short-A. Rather than being released, these players are being demoted to a rookie league despite being far too old to be eligible to play there.

Once demoted to rookie ball, these older players not only stay on the roster, they sometimes play regularly.

My workaround is to check rookie league rosters frequently and (usually) to release these older players from whatever rookie-level club they are on.

I think the AI should just release these older players once it determines they can't make the AAA team. There seems to be a bug that allow them to hang on in rookie ball despite their being too old to be assigned there.

It will be addressed.

Not an ideal solution but I edited the injury and then created a reminder to reinstate the injury minus so many days for when the maintenance patch is released. FWIW.

I haven't had any crashes on my Mac until this latest build. Out of the 10 games I've played through, 3 have frozen/crashed. I also noticed that the 3D animation is much more choppy. Lots of balls just get "stuck" at the plate even though the play-by-play describes long fly balls to the outfield.

Post season rosters remain at 40 even though I have post season rosters enabled and 25 man post season rosters limit. This wasn't an issue before update.

The budget and projected expenses are off significantly. This appears to be because the projected expenses include the negative starting balance but the budgeted does not.

This is actually a bigger issue because the profit / loss is also off. So based on the budget it appears we will have a 6MM surplus when in fact we will be 8MM in the hole.

Latest patch - 16.6.30

Tried to filter players in the free agency pool and, among other things, included a search with "wOBA". This produced two error messages and I could only cycle between the two error messages seen below. Had to terminate with Task Manager.

Restarted and to test went back to free agent pool and filtered using ONLY "wOBA" this time. Same result.

What patch are you playing your game under, Patch 5 or patch 6? When I patched from #4 to patch #5 I started having those same 3D problems as did a few others who posted this problem. I reverted back to play under patch #4 where it did not do this. With the release of patch #6 now I haven't patched my game yet in fear my 3D problems would come back as in patch #5. However, in the readme notes of Patch #6 it states 3D bug issues have been fixed.................

latest patch - little memos/quotes/factoids on top of screen - one came up wrong - said (by the way, love how my league is now incorporated!) that a pitcher in my league won the triple crown in 1900 - but he didn't. He lead league in Wins and ERA but that was it.... His profile does not mention any triple crown....
