I'm loving these latest efforts myself. Come gametime, I'm gonna have a heck of a time choosing between the two Washington Capital City uniforms myself. One's fantastic and the other's outstanding! Combines classic goodness with a modern cool, I think. I'm a fan.

In other news...

I'm moving!

Not sure if requests are still being taken, but if they are, I could really use a Brooklyn Kings set done in black & white, to go along with the rest of my CBC sets from earlier in the thread. If not, it's cool though. There's a chance I'll be without internet access for a week, possibly two, during the change-over from this locality to the new one, thought this might be my last chance to mention it for a while.

Nat. Assoc. Colored Professional Base Ball Clubs

I came across these in my old files and thought I would share them with you... Looks like maybe and old letterhead or business card... Interesting info from the past...

I cut out the the Western Booking Agency logo and made these to use in the game if you like...

I second this request, I have been using a lot of your original jerseys for my league but Id look to switch my Brooklyn Kings over to a new jersey/color scheme. If you could do another one for the Chicago Lincolns that'd be amazing as well. I try to have my teams change colors and switch uniforms over the years for realism purposes and these are the only two teams stuck in the same jerseys!

Your work is amazing btw, and greatly appreciated!

I quite like that first one. The second is a bit red for my taste; using it as an accent seemed just right.

Thumbs up

Whoa ...Shadow ... that pretty close to what tx has done - a little softer tone on the edges would complete the look ... BTW, nicely done ... maybe, instead of red shadow ... wondering what it would be like with a lighter green ... ... real nice, though ...

The red was a relic from a time when the design included bits from the Duke of Argyll's coat of arms. I should've taken it out when I junked that idea, leaving no other red anywhere.

With green shadows:

And, what the hell, the preposterous Argyll one:

Stockham Valve & Fitting Company

Stockham Valve & Fitting Company

This uniform was given to the Center for Negro League Baseball Research by the late Willie C. Young. He wore this uniform during the 1945 and 1946 season when he played for Stockham Valve and Fitting Company of the Birmingham Industrial League (BIL). The uniform that is on display consists of the jersey, pants, hat and spikes.

Willie C. Young - Stockham (1935-1952)
Birmingham Industrial League
The Birmingham Industrial League (BIL) was an important part of black baseball history from the 1920’s through the 1960’s. The Birmingham Industrial League is considered to be the top industrial league in the United States. Future Negro League greats like Piper Davis, Lyman Bostock, Willie Mays, Harry “Suitcase” Simpson and Artie Wilson all got their start in the Birmingham Industrial League. Over the years the Birmingham Industrial League served as the informal minor league organization for the Birmingham Black Barons. Some of the other outstanding teams of the Birmingham Industrial League were Acipico Pipe, 24th Street Red Sox, Fairfield Stars, Stockham, U.S. Steel and Tennessee Coal and Iron.
Willie C. Young was born in Alabama and played professional baseball for the Birmingham Black Barons of the Negro American League in 1945. He also pitched for several seasons with the Nashville Black Volunteers of the Negro Southern League. But most of his career was spent in Birmingham, Alabama where he worked, played and coached for Stockham Valve and Fitting Company from 1935 to 1952. The most remarkable aspect of Young’s baseball career was that he was born with only one hand. As a left handed pitcher he wore his glove loosely on the stump of his right arm. Not letting that handicap stand in his way, he became an integral part of black baseball in the Birmingham area for almost twenty years.

Excellent stuff everyone! I'm starting new fictional league in OOTP14 and got almost everything I needed from here. Only thing missing is nickname/logo/jersey for Phoenix/Arizona team. Does anyone have any ideas?

I edited the all of Stockham Valve jerseys so that the logo is straight and not off kilter... When I took it off the photo, I didn't snap that it is slanted slightly because of a fold in the jersey... Been down with the flu or something for a while now and must have been dozing off when I did those the other day...

Might be too close to the Diamondbacks, but I've been thinking about having a team called the 'Arizona Rattlers' myself.
