Keep the name simple, CD... "CD's Graphic Creations" or "CD's Graphic Designs" would be fine... it is not important what the name is.

Why don't you use the thread that I started on the Graphics Forum where kq76 asked you do to jerseys... tell him you don't do logos, but will do the jerseys for him... he posted colors... create something for him and post it on that forum:

You are much too wordy and long-winded and rambling... no one wants to read all of that stuff.

Just create something for kq76... he is not going to give you hex color codes... just pick the colors from the screenshot he did and produce a home jersey and away jersey.

Use Dark Purple, Lavender, Pink and Green like the Miami Vice screenshot... find an image that is "electric" in nature and put it on the sleeve.

CD, make a good impression on your viewers in your Graphics thread.

Work on kq76's Vice City Electrics Jerseys and Caps as soon as you can.

Do a good job and it might get you regular requests.

To make things easier, you pick the shade of colors they request...don't ask them for Hex color codes... you can adjust the colors later if needed.

Far Mountain is hard to make out on the Redhawks away uniform from the person doing that set, unfortunately. And a few of the other uniforms seem to have a few extra projections form them than they probably should, as well, perhaps due to too thick of outlines on them, I think. Just something I noticed, that's all.

What do you think of my first attempts at the Electrics uniforms for kq76? Just wondering, that's all. And thank you for your earlier comments, as well, EC. CD out.

Yes, I noticed that CD, too... when you have spikes on the lettering like that, it is too much outline.

I don't like to critique someone's work if I don't know them very well... I just don't use what they do.

I only critique someone that I know wants constructive criticism and is not offended by it.

As they say, discretion is the better part of valor.

It is not a good idea to be critical on the Forum even if what you are saying is true... it is not good to draw attention to someone's work if they are doing you a favor.

CD, use the colors I used for the Vice City Electrics... I got those colors from the Miami Vice colors kq76 posted in the thread... use those colors for the jerseys.

I did not like what you posted... the contrast is poor... the font is not a good one...and you didn't use the Miami Vice colors... you can't read the team name ELECTRICS because the contrast is not good.

Can't you see that?

Use Green, Pink, Purple (kq76's colors)... I used Yellow as the main color on the lettering for VICE CITY AND ELECTRICS with Pink as the second outline and Purple as the third outline.

The Yellow made the lettering standout and shine... it looks like a neon sign.

Look at your colors... then look at kq's colors... you didn't use what he asked for.

Make the team name ELECTRICS on the jerseys stand out with good contrast.

Look at my logo... it has very good contrast... the team name and nickname stand out clearly.

Of course I'm going to continue working on the set. He's given me time, after all, to do so. I'm still trying to find a good font, for example. Was looking earlier, but haven't found one yet that works well enough here. He did say purple and gold or yellow like the Lakers colors might work for his purposes. I'm far from done with this set, in any case, though.

Here is my suggestion for color and font.

I used the Miami Vice colors that kq76 posted.

If he wants something like the Lakers, then I would just use Purple and Gold.

CD, I have seen all of the things you posted in this thread.

We have different tastes in colors and styles.

If you make jerseys the way you did Hillsboro for me, I would use them.
They were done in my taste, color and style... that's why I liked them.

I would not use anything you selected as far as style and colors.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

In general, I do not like what you posted in your thread.

Not being critical of his work, but just commenting that it was/is hard to read Far Mountain on that uniform, that's all, EC. He's done some good work there for sure on other teams, and even for the RedHawks. Like you, I hope he gets even better in the future. And that San Alejo set is much better than I likely would have been able to do, for instance.

You are correct... Far Mountain does not have good contrast... I will probably not use it... not all of the volunteers respond when I request revisions... some do , most don't... I just take the good stuff and not use the the ones with poor contrast that don't show up well in the game.

I think you could do a good job on anything you attempt... you just have to have good directions and instructions... You did very well on the Hillsboro Blazers.

The font for Vice City Electrics was NCAA Cal Poly... all capitals letters.

Try using my colors and kq76 colors should you revise the Vice City Electrics... your first post was not good colors... nothing like kq76 requested.

Hopefully he will come back and tell you whether he likes it or not.

The lettering on the my Vice City Electrics' Los Angeles Lakers' example is flawed... the White Jersey... it had white spots on it... not sure what caused it.

I should have made the ELECTRICS lettering Yellow with a Pink outline 1 and Purple outline 2... I think it would show up better.

Should have used the same colors for the ELECTRICS lettering that I used on the Purple Jersey.

EC, there's an apparent spelling error in your team name related to snakes in one of your recreational leagues. It should be spelled MOCCASINS, not MOCASSINS, it seems. It should be spelled exactly like the shoe type, actually. Just so you know. CD out.

The team name was also misspelled and it was not corrected... the guy had worked long and hard on a bunch of teams and I just let it go.

I have decided that I am going to do my own jerseys and caps... some of my recent one have come out pretty well... I'm just tired of things like the outline problems on the whole batch by one of the guys.

I've been spoiled by knuckler, txranger, rocknfire7 and golem64 over the years... they didn't put out any inferior work.

Okay, just noticed that, all of a sudden, for once. That's all. Not complaining or criticizing or anything, but just an observation, you see.

Hope you get better at making things, just like I hopefully am, as well. I still can't do logos, however, it seems. Or stadiums, for that matter. But maybe one day, I'll eventually be able to. Wouldn't that be nice?
