If Hillsboro can somehow get better defenders and better hitters, their pitching numbers would certainly improve considerably, I think, and then just maybe Walton would actually get to see at least some postseason action here before he finally retires as an IPA player. Perhaps Hillsboro could even make a fairly long run in the playoffs and somehow actually win at least one Pro Cup too by then, as well. CD out.

I don't know when Freeman's contract will next be up, but I predict that he is still good enough to command at least $12 million for up to five or six more years before his eventual retirement as an IPA player. I highly doubt Denton City would really let him go now, even at this particular stage of his career. It would make absolutely no sense at all, logically, either with the team's overall makeup or with the fans, I think. Even if he definitely is now on the downside of his playing career here in the IPA, after all. CD out.

Actually, nobody's played for more than 16 years in this IPA at present, officially. But perhaps the supposed additional service time could easily be explained away by saying the relevant players played in somewhat unorganized town ball leagues or certain industrial leagues, for instance, just like was possibly the case for those who played in EC's IPA early on that had prior service time in their careers, if they did? CD out.

Glasco and South Fork are playing as expected, both are up 3-0 in their series and are looking to clinch berths in the Union Title Series. Surprisingly, the two #1 seeds, Kenwood and Elnora, are trailing 2-1, so they will have their work cut out for them if they want to advance.

Looks like two potential sweeps so far, along with two potential upsets. If Southport knocks off Kenwood, and South Fork beats Hartsdale, then South Fork should perhaps beat Southport in the next round for the TU in no more than six games. If Glasco and Forest City win versus Belair Beach and Elnora, respectively and they match up in the RU, I'd say Glasco will win in five or six versus Forest City.
Between Glasco and South Fork, in that case, I'd perhaps have to say the slight edge might go to Glasco, but not by much, and it would probably be a close and difficult Pro Cup series there. I'm not sure yet who's had a better career on average between each pair of rivals here, though. Between Freeman and Holmes, who do you think has had or will have the better career on average, Pro Cup titles or no Pro Cup titles? And between Walton and Garber, who do you think will have the better career, on average, with the same distinction here regarding Pro Cup titles? Jethro's chief rival is set to debut with Sugar Valley in 1887 or 1888, while Zebulon's is due to do the same for Turon in 1887 or 1888. Of course, Simon was proposed strictly as a pitcher, before you said that you didn't want any more two-way players at this time in your IPA, in direct relation to created players. Barrett was proposed strictly as a position player at the same time as well. We still have at least a decade-plus of time to go through before the next generation of players might start appearing in your IPA. We can periodically consider the matter of two-way players more later on, I think, because it's still going to take a while here for you to get close to 1901, after all, it seems to me here. Gordon Clyde Freeman and at least a few, if not all, of the potential second-generation players have already been born by now, but they're still not old enough to play in your dynasty, if they're even alive by now. None of them will be old enough until circa 1900, in any case, for sure. Whether they'd end up in the IPA or in certain other leagues present in this dynasty for you here, of course, that is. Talk more later, as time permits and all, I'm sure. Lord willing and all, of course, that is. CD out.

By the way, what do you think of both proposed player profiles for Barrett Parverol and Simon Clairborne? Do you think that if they're created sufficiently close to how I proposed them that they will make major impacts on their planned original teams in their debut year or years? Sugar Valley and Turon certainly need a lot of help at present to get good, I think, here.
Do you think you could also post the basic team reports for the applicable teams that you haven't yet posted here, please, jg2977? You've now posted them for Glasco, South Fork, Kenwood, Denton City, and Hillsboro, but not yet for Marston, Sugar Valley, and Turon, it seems, if I remember correctly enough here for 1886. I'd really appreciate it if you would, so I can continue to follow each of the relevant IPA teams better here, of course. Thank you. CD out.
