Looks like I'll have to go all the way back to the backup I made at the start of the dynasty in question. Hope the other versions' dynasties aren't similarly affected, of course. All the other OOTP 21 dynasties seem to be present, however, but I'll have to go back to the start of things for Freeman Dynasty 001, it seems. I'll keep you posted. Freeman was starting to develop really well, too, at least on the hitting side. CD out.

I really hope I don't have to go all the way back, or nearly so, for Freeman Dynasty 001, but let's just see what happens with the relevant OOTP 21 dynasty. If I can actually recover the game somehow, maybe I won't then have to go back to the very start of things for it. I see an incident folder now too, so maybe the developers can help me recover the game somehow. I may lose at least a few games from when the game was last saved, but I hope not, of course, EC. CD out.

I'm sorry to fuss at you, my good friend... I am completely wrong in thinking you have to play the game like I do.
Please accept my apology. CD, I hope all you lose is just that game you were playing... that has happened to me on occasion. Hope the worst you lose is one season at most. I once had to replay 4 seasons of the IPA after a glitch in the computer. Luckily I had a backup beginning in the season 2052. It is always very wise to run a complete backup at the end of the playoffs.... I have the game copy all of the game files... I think there are about 3,000,000 of this after 70 seasons. |

If you don't want to suggest such things again, then fine. Do as you wish or not, as the Lord then leads, of course, to the best of your ability. By the way, I DO periodically play a bit with my dynasties, but generally do not get very far in a very short period of time for multiple reasons. Especially when I'm working on any of my various writing projects, for example. One of my major problems that I have often in my life is staying focused on something when I need to stay focused. Or vice versa, in certain cases for me in my life. And I often get distracted, and flit from one thing to another mentally, so to speak, making it much harder to complete certain things in a more timely manner. I can't tell you how many times I've been working on one of my writing projects, for instance, and gotten stuck, before getting distracted by something else, and not being able to get back to what I was working on soon enough, to continue working on them. In such cases, I often start something new, or get interested in something new, which can often complicate things considerably, at times. Which probably explains why most of my various things don't often get completed very quickly, if at all. Thank you very much for your honesty and friendship and all here, of course, as always, and I really do appreciate all your prayers and all for me and those around me, for sure. I can't wait to meet you someday, Lord willing, whether it's in this life or eternity, EC. CD out.

Gordon Curtis Freeman will be a two-way player in the Islandian Pro Alliance next year for the Hillsboro Blazers.
Hope I remembered his name correctly. |

Also, another thing that is probably happening here is that I see so much great work that I can't help but collect a lot of it, in the hopes of actually being able to use it someday. Unfortunately, we all have limited time to do certain things at times in our lives, whatever those are, and often we are limited in what we can do by the size of our computer hard drives, among other things, as you know. Yes, I know that many of us are fascinated by things like graphics for computer games, for instance, but we should not let our fascination with those things take ultimate precedence over what is more important in our lives, whatever it may be, or whoever it may be. And most especially not over God, you know.
God is the most important Person we must be fascinated with in this life, in all three of His states, and His will should be what we most desire to do and speak and think and all in our respective lives, without question in my life, to the best of our abilities. At least, that's what I think, anyway, as an imperfect sinner in this Universe of His at the present time. For eventually, all that is in this world will be gone, while we will exist forever somewhere else, wherever that is for each of us, for sure. Baseball, for one thing, will not matter in eternity. In my view, baseball can be a pleasant and fun thing to enjoy many times, but it's not what we should all ultimately live for and follow, in the long run. I don't know if it will be played in eternity yet, either, of course, but whether or not it does, that sort of thing is not what I am ultimately hoping for, as you may very well know by now. What I most hope for in eternity is to be able to spend eternity with my Lord and my God, along with my dear Homegone brother, among many others, for sure. Now whether or not I actually will, ultimately, that remains to be seen, of course. But as long as I continue to follow Him to the best of my ability, and stay trusting Him to lead me Home to be with Him forever, I think I have a very good chance of that happening. Now I'm not perfected yet in my existence, and I won't be until I leave this world, Lord willing, for sure. One day, though, I will be, no doubt, if I remain faithful and all to Him and His ways to the best of my ability. Will write more later, I'm sure, if and whenever possible and all, Lord willing. Again, thank you for your honesty and all, as always, EC. CD out.

I'll lose about a season and a half, if it can't be recovered, it seems. But sometimes unexpected things happen, you know. Whether in computer games or in other areas of life, they periodically do happen. I won't likely lose much, because the game hadn't progressed very far, only being in the second season since dynasty creation, but it is still frustrating, of course, whenever something like that might happen for people.
In any case, it isn't a life-and-death-type situation, so there's really no need to be overly upset about it compared to many other things in this life, you know. So the game glitched. That happens, at times, for people. Best not to dwell on it too much when there are much more important things to be more concerned about here, for sure. CD out.

Out of all of your leagues, just pick one to concentrate on... if you only have one favorite league to work on, maybe you will focus on it and not be distracted... perhaps you will regularly play it and eventually finish the project.. Never have more than one OOTP League at a time... then you can focus on that... it might be worth a try. |

I don't think my other OOTP games were affected adversely, or at least it doesn't seem like they are, as far as I can currently tell. As for dynasties of mine for other versions of OOTP Baseball, I've not checked them yet. Hopefully, only the Freeman Dynasty 001 is affected adversely in any case, of course, in OOTP 21. I'll probably have to ask Lukas or someone else what to do next with it. The data files seem to be around, at least for the backup, if not the actual game. So hopefully, the game can be recovered so that I'm still somewhere in 1902, and not have to go back to 1901 at all.
I only had one overall league with two subleagues of eight teams each, using uniforms and some caps that I mainly designed myself, for the most part, where possible and all. Of course, some of the logos and other thngs are the usual generic items, or which I've grabbed from other places on the Web or posts here on the forums, but most of those teams do not yet have caps and/or logos made for them, at least. I've made the uniforms, at least, and some caps for the relevant teams, but other logos or caps are generic in nature. As you know, I still generally can't do logos, for various reasons, but at least I can make many uniforms and/or caps, from time to time. Some teams I have don't exactly use more traditional names for them, for various reasons. Same thing with leagues I have, of course. Which often makes it harder to get items done for them. And seeing as I'm not really an artist compared to a writer, or at least not for the most part, that may frequently complicate things for me, no matter how simple I try to keep things many times. Also, I often dream and think big and all. So you certainly do have to take that into account when you think of how I might often do things in my life, whether they're ultimately quite inconsquential or not in the grand scheme of things. Especially when eternity is considered, after all, you know, by us all here. Will write more later as time allows and all, Lord willing, you know. Thanks again for your time and attention and all here, EC. CD out.

Other stories of mine have baseball-related things in them, whether they're fan fiction or original fiction-style stories. As a matter of fact, baseball is a major interest for one or more of the characters in Lighting Up the Darkness, just so you know. While it won't be a major factor in the ultimate story's development and all, it is still a major interest of the narrator and certain other characters from the 20th and 21st Century AD, to be sure. Will write more later, as time allows and all, of course. Thank you for your time and all here, for sure, EC. CD out.

EC, several Marston Nine items have now been found and saved by me. That's still another IPA team I fortunately don't need to hunt items for or request items for now, it seems. CD out.

Have grabbed quite a few more items, even a number of older ones, for various IPA teams, mainly Marston, Bay St. Clair, and Colchester, at least, today, I think, EC. Still may need items you've collected for other IPA teams, though, that knuckler and others did and put on Photobucket before their accounts went inactive and all, for whatever possible reason or reasons. Will keep you posted. CD out.

You should also remember, as you said at the beginning of this very thread, that I have Asperger's Syndrome. As that is still the case for me, and will probably be the lifelong case for me, there are certain difficulties I often have to deal with in my life, if not always. Being distracted quite often by many things and/or people is part and parcel of having AS for me in my life, for sure. Even when I don't want to be distracted in my life by many things and/or people, at times, that sort of thing is still definitely part and parcel of having AS present in my life at this time.
I am NOT you. You are NOT me. We are each different people, as our Lord made us each to then be in our respective mortal lives. We are NOT meant to always think of things and/or people in the exact same way as the other one of us does, if ever. You and I have different life experiences and all, which undeniably color our views of so many people and things in this world and Universe our Lord created mere thousands of years ago. That being the case, we can't normally see things and/or people in the exact same way as one another, you know, if ever. Fortunately, my parents are both still around. However, eventually, they will leave this world, whether it's before I do or not, for sure. Seeing as they're in their seventies now, with Dad due to turn 78 in about a month from now, and Mom due to turn 75 sometime in December, it doesn't seem very likely to me right now that they might last until 85 in either case. Of course, I hope I'm wrong, but they both have had various health issues for a while, especially Mom, it seems to me. Mom could have left us in early 2018, but she's still here, by the grace and mercy of God. I have absolutely no doubt of that in my mind at all, to be honest. Will write more later, no doubt, if and when possible and all, Lord willing. CD out.

Saw Germaniac said basically the same thing in your All-Star-related thread that I did in post #1224 of this thread. Found and saved the logos made sometime back by txranger or knuckler for the All-Star teams in your IPA, and I thought they looked very nice, in fact, EC. CD out.

It may also help if you delete the unwanted logos, and match the desired logos' file names to the subleagues' names or abbreviations. If you notice on Germaniac's screenshot, there are differently-sized versions of the same logo for the American League All-Stars, for example.
Delete all versions of the unwanted logos, and then, if your desired logos are not in the shown folder under any name, go to where they are, and copy them before pasting them into the proper folder. Rename those copies then as needed, and then close the folder window, and see what happens. You may have to close that dynasty by loading another one or the game before the desired changes happen for you well enough, though, just so you know. Hope these suggestions help. They could also help when it comes to caps and uniforms, if I remember correctly enough here, I think. Please let me know if they do, EC. CD out.
