Don't overstate it please. The London Monarchs averaged 40,000 once in the inaugural year of the World League. The following year, with just one franchise move in the North American Division, that average halved to just over 20,000 whilst both the other two European teams - Barcelona and Frankfurt - saw rises to their average attendance.

Yes I am. Although you might have to watch yourself today, as with my last two posts, I seem to be being pretty vicious.

Have you heard about the recommendations of the four clubs in Italy suspected of match fixing?

On ESPN last night I heard that the English might be suffering because they dont cheat (dive) enough. Its a sad commentary on the state of sport. At least England left with its head held high.

It was against a fellow Englishman.

So I think if one of you Americans start up, I might have to replicate Tex's display of rage (from my avatar).

Relegate AC Milan, Lazio, and Fiorentina to Serie B, and Juventus to Serie C.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...pe/5145210.stm

Also Juve manager Fabio Capello has resigned this morning - he's likely to become the new Real Madrid manager.

I guess when you've seen the incident you don't think that the photo looks like they are about to hug each other.

But for those who haven't (are you one of them? ), I guess it does doesn't it?

If it goes through and stands up to appeal - Yes.

They could get in the UEFA Cup if they win the Coppa Italia.

When it was talked about a couple of days ago on the radio here (when they thought, and it still might be in the end, relegation to Serie B), they said Del Piero would stay even if they got relegated.
IMO, the rest of the big names would go even if they went down just one division.

Sorry I didn't mean to out you, I just thought you had seen the incident, and then you made a great observation based on what the photo actually looked like it showed.

With them going down to Serie C I suppose there will be a bidding war for their players. They could likely win Serie C with their youth team. As far as ADP, he joins the list of players that promised so much and delivered little. With his shaved head he looks like Mussolinis evil twin.

It's on MLB.com, go http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/g...=.jsp&c_id=tex
and in the related links click on the one that says "Teixeira gets ejected". That's where I saw it, as we didn't get the game here.

Used to - until last Wednesday.

Because from this week ESPN and NASN (our digital channel that shows it) haven't been able to agree a contract to show ESPN programming any more.
