Freeman will be on the St. Louis Sentinels in at least one dynasty, if not more than one. It will at least be a test dynasty, if not a permanent dynasty, at least at first. I'll keep you posted on things related to him, and I may even start a new dynasty thread in the near future. So please watch for that, supposing I decide to start one, of course. CD out.

jg2977, if you put him on more than one team, please don't forget to change the birthdate and player name for each version of him you use, for obvious reasons, especially seeing as you use baseball cards for players, at least. Just a suggestion here, that's all. You can make minor adjustments to his starting values as you like, as well, if you wish. CD out.

Let's see just how our respective versions of him do, then, guys. The values above are just starting values, after all. Hopefully he will get some good TCR adjustments in his careers, and avoid injuries and all, of course. While I don't know if he'll ever be good enough to be among the best players yet, hopefully he will at least be fairly serviceable for his teams, for sure. CD out.

You may have to go back to your latest backup, EC, when it comes to the IPA. Even if you have to go back at least a few days, of course. I hope you are remembering to back things up often enough, as well. CD out.

Bruce Sutter is my all-time favorite Cardinal and player, for sure. Also liked Ozzie, among others, of the Cardinals players I know about better than others. Of course, Pujols I like a lot too, even now. Drew should not have been traded, even though Wainwright came in that deal to us, I still believe.
I have only been to one actual MLB game in my life to date, way back in June 1984. Strawberry hit two home runs against us on Father's Day, but we still won 6 to 3 against the Mets. To date, that is the only actual MLB game I've ever been to, and what is more, Sutter got the save. There is a long story that could be told about our time at the park, I'm sure, and many of the relevant details might surprise you considerably, at least, but God's hand definitely was present in terms of those details. I never have had any doubt about that in my mind whenever I remember the day as best as I can at any time, even more than 37 years after that day. CD out.

Grandma used to often send me things about the Cardinals when I was younger before she left this world, among other teams. She lived in the St. Louis area, and I was born in Missouri in 1973. I became a Cardinals fan when I was very young, probably sometime in the early 1980's, and definitely by the time we faced Milwaukee in 1982's World Series. I believe I was in the hospital for some eye thing when the Series began, in fact, though I could be wrong about that. Was very happy to see us win it all, especially when Sutter struck out Thomas to end the Series and get us another title. Such a shame to see what happened about twenty years later with Porter, of course.
I am still unhappy about us losing in 1985 and 1987, as well. We were thrown, I believe, at least in part, by that botched call, but we should still have been able to perform, nevertheless, in 1985. As far as 1987, even though I have spent most of my life in Twins territory, I think the Twins might possibly have had an unfair advantage over us back then, seeing as they had the Metrodome as their home stadium back then. I have never really been a fan of non-retractable domed stadiums for baseball or football, to be honest, for I believe very strongly that those sports should be played outside if and whenever possible, for multiple reasons. Will write more later as I can and all, I'm sure, Lord willing. But it may be a little while before I do so again here, perhaps. CD out.

Ah yes, Bruce Sutter, I definitely remember him.
I've been to many Yankees and Mets games. A couple Red Sox and Rays games too. I've also been to one Phillies game, in Citizens Bank Park. And I saw the Orioles play the Jays in a doubleheader in Camden Yards. I saw the late Roy Halladay pitch a fantastic two-hit shutout in one of those games. The last Yankees and Mets games I attended were in 2009, and my last MLB game was in Fenway in 2011. With rising ticket prices, and fantastic HD resolution on my tv screen, I've lost the desire to go. I'm sure I will go again one day, but I'm happy watching at home. |

jg2977, here is the square Volusia Vigilantes Primary Logo you asked for.
txranger did the excellent original... I just squared it and added the black and orange borders... I think it should show up good in your game on the white background... let me know if you need color change in the borders. I did two of them... take your choice if you like them. Also included the two Secondary Logos with different border colors... sorry the gray is too dark on the Secondary Logos... not sure why they came out that way.... the original gray was like the Primary Logos... a lighter shade of gray. I can use these logos, and any others you may have for them, I think, EC. What do you have currently for their other items, even if no longer in current use? Please let me know, if and when you like and can. Thank you. CD out.

Unfortunately, I can't get to txranger's Google Drive, or anyone else's, at the moment, it seems, without signing into my Google account, and I don't really want to do that right now, just to be able to even see those things again. So I suppose it's going to be harder to collect more items that others have already made or are making here, unless they have a non-Google and non-Photobucket link to them, in that case. Or are posted as attachments here, of course. CD out.

jg2977, how did things go for Freeman in 1953, if you included him on any team or teams in your version of the IPA for it? Just wondering, that's all. Freeman is not very good yet in the relevant (test?) dynasty, at 21 years old in 1902, just so you know. But hopefully he'll get some positive TCR improvements in the near future, of course, once he matures enough in his career.
Will write more later, as time permits and all, obviously. But not right now, I think. CD out.

I grabbed these items, but I'm talking about other items I may not have grabbed yet from people's posts or Google Drive, Photobucket, OneDrive, or other file-sharing sites, et cetera, EC. Do you have any more of the Volusia Vigilantes items that others did? I also grabbed the Volusia round logo and the Vigilante head logo that txranger did some time back, but I'm sure there are other related logos and/or items for Volusia around, or once were around, on these forums.
Do you have any ideas about the specific color codes or font(s) used for the Volusia Vigilantes with its most recently-made items that you've previously collected or made? If so, please let me know, if you like and can. I'd like to see what I can do myself in relation to them, even if it means I might change certain colors to do my own versions of them, you see. Thank you for your time and attention and all here, of course, EC. CD out.

No, CD... that's all the Volusia graphics I have.
CD, by now you should have enough good graphics to start a league. You have been collecting for two years... use what you have collected to start your league. There are plenty of logos, jerseys and caps that are available right here on this Forum... you don't to go to Google Drive or Photobucket. |

CD, you don't need color codes... just use your eyes... Volusia's colors are Orange and Black... and maybe a Gray... just match as close as you can to those colors if you are going to make your own jerseys and caps.
That's what I do... I just try to come close to matching colors. It's trial and error and tedious to do, but you can do it. Or find some free software that you can load a color in and get the code.... no, I don't know software that can do this, but I think it is available. I have been using them, or at least many of them, actually. I haven't been asking too often of late for new graphics, have I? While I don't have all the needed graphics for the IPA teams, for instance, of course, I have been making quite a few items ever since before you created this thread for me here. I still am unable to do logos, generally, but I've been getting better at doing caps and uniforms, at least, for sure.
Freeman is having some difficulty in developing his skills in one of my dynasties, but he's still young, at 21 years old in it. He has definite power potential on the hitting side, but his pitching still needs some work, for sure. His team isn't very good yet, on average, so that's probably part of his current difficulty here. Currently they're sitting in the middle of the pack for their subleague in 1902, and need some more good players to really build a good core set of players for the St. Louis Sentinels. Unfortunately, that team also has an owner who won't give me a decent budget or allow me to choose how much to spend in certain areas, like scouting or player development, for instance. I have the smallest budget and the smallest payroll at the present time of the sixteen teams now in the entire game, so that isn't really helping matters here. I'll probably create a thread in the dynasty reports forum once the offseason starts after the 1902 season. Please stay tuned, and let's see what happens. I hope you don't have any more problems with your main dynasty here, of course. Thank you for your input and all, as always. I really wish I could make more progress to a sufficient enough degree on a number of my writing projects, but unfortunately, I'm stuck on at least one of them. Hence why I"m doing more baseball-related stuff of late, for instance, trying to get inspired and all so I can hopefully unstuck with them. CD out.

CD, you are my good friend and I don't want to hurt your feelings, but you can be quite frustrating... listen to me, I am saying this as a friend and in a friendly fashion... For the last time... I am not going to suggest this to you again... I have already done it 50 times in the past 2 years... I am tired of repeating myself over and over... just download logos, jerseys and caps that you like from sources here on this Forum and use them to create your league.
That's what I did for the North Island and South Island Leagues... and they look quite good in my opinion... low, Lawn Loaf, knuckler and txranger are among the creators. You could do the same thing. Set up your league and play it... enjoy the game... all I see you do is talk about setting up a league... you don't ever seem to play one. Last edited by Eugene Church; 09-27-2021 at 12:55 AM. |

You probably have done so at least as much as you think here, in regards to such things, if not more. Not denying that possibility at all. Do as you wish with me, as the Lord leads you to, then, EC.
I just had something rather big suddenly happen to me here with OOTP 21. It just crashed quite unexpectedly on me, somehow, for some yet-unknown reason or reasons here. I don't know yet if I have lost any important information from the relevant dynasty or dynasties I've started in 21, but I really hope not. As I write this particular post now, my computer is still re-installing a number of files, because of that sudden crash. A sudden crash which happened for me somehow while I was still in the midst of playing a game between the Philadelphia Brotherhood and the St. Louis Sentinels for the dynasty that I put Freeman in as a new fictional player for, in fact. I'll keep you posted, and let you know if I've lost those things or not, as best as I can and all. I don't really know yet just why the game crashed and all, but if I can find out, I'll let you know, for sure. CD out.
