Casey Coleman is now in the booth for a couple of innings. For more info on Casey, see this thread:

Gibson swings, and a fly ball to deep right field! This is gonna be a home run! Unbelievable! A home run for Gibson! And the Dodgers have won the game, 5 to 4; I don't believe what I just saw! I don't believe what I just saw!

I didn't think so, either, but the Indians didn't seem to question it.

So Marco Scutaro came up today in two situations where he could do ANYTHING but hit a ground ball to the SS and it would be ok. Two ground ball double plays. Todd Walker could make an error a game and he'd be a better option at second base.

Perez should be getting 100% of the AB's that Scutaro is getting, end of story.

They NEED to find out if he can hit AL pitching, and 21 ABs over 19 games is not the way to find out.

Agreed.. the sad thing is, didn't Scutaro hit around .450 for the first two weeks of the season? He has been pathetic!

Hmm...

I just saw Loaiza's last pitch clocked at 91 on the STO gun. Bob, how does their gun usually see pitches? I know some stations are way off (WGN, for example, is about 6 mph less than the actual pitch speed).

Yes. That's when we here were wanting Macha to play him while he was hot because, well, if Marco freaking' Scutaro is hitting the ball you've gotta take advantage of that.

Yeah, but hitting .450 for the first two weeks of the season usually equates to about 6 hits.

I wonder if he's had 6 hits SINCE then

He must have been watching the Indians' batting training videos.

I don't particularly care for it.

I don't really have all that much faith in their gun. I'd say there is probably a margin of error of about 4 MPH.

OK I'm missing something.

The only hit I see on gamecase is Belliard's infield single.

Where's the other?

Wow. I guess I don't care how hard he's throwing as long as he is pitching a game like this. This is exactly what we need with Harden going back on the DL.

I'd like to place a moratorium on talking about this ever ever again please.

Thank you.

Box score shows Broussard has one. But the Yahoo play-by-play totally skips his first at bat. I guess they don't want us to know what he did.

Regardless, the Indians TV broadcast has been showing 2 hits for awhile now.
