Ultimately, Lampard needs to make a better effort.

Gibson swings, and a fly ball to deep right field! This is gonna be a home run! Unbelievable! A home run for Gibson! And the Dodgers have won the game, 5 to 4; I don't believe what I just saw! I don't believe what I just saw!

Loses the ball too easily? Which game were you watching?

That's like asking if the Yankees will have a hard time with the KC ROyals or a AAA team. It won't matter

He's not a big goalscorer, that's not what he's there for. He's a good finisher on the ground, doesn't get enough power on his headers. Hell, I'm a Liverpool fan who wouldn't have Crouch in the starting Liverpool XI, but if you're going to criticise him do so for the right reasons.

Lucky enough to get this far. Maybe in four years they will have a coach and players with enough balls to actualy try and put together a decent attack.

Germany and Brazil final is looking likley at this point which would make a good final assuming it does not go to PK.

Agreed on the coach, but if you think the England players don't have balls you know zilch.

They have courage, not doubting that. But they have to be questioning the logic of playing timid football and sitting on leads all match long.

England has the skill to produce very good teams, but they looked miserable this entire cup due to their players never seeming to want to organize an attack.

I have the feeling they will be the most changed team by the time Euro 2008 rolls around

imo England didn't deserve to go forward with the way they have played in the tournament but ALL teams need luck.

Isn't this the way Germany have always played until Klinsmann took over ?

England had plenty of it to get as far as they did. They looked awful all tournement long. I can not think of a single game (and I watched them all for the full 90) that they looked like a world class team which they are.

The tactics and mentality were all wrong coming in the entire system needs to be reworked.

Anyway...

Germany are the best team (IMHO) remaining in the tournament, but I think they need to not underestimate the Italians, who are doing an old Italian job of sneaking through the tournament unnoticed. Brazil have a few top class players, but France could give them a shock tonight. Portugal... who knows. They'll get Deco back. Would hate to see Portugal do well, as they're the biggest divers and playactors in the tournament.
