Apologies if this has been covered, but: any reason that when I'm managing a game, the players' names on the field are blacked out?

Have you played with the 6.5 imported rosters? It's horrible, the stats are completely messed up, pitching dominates everything, and some stats don't even import at all, like HBP, WP, and something else. Not to mention that Cubby's 6.5 roster is based on some weird league totals, so when it imports it screws things up even more.

Needless to say, while it might be nice to advertise the feature of importing 6.5 rosters, it's basically non-functioning.

Thank god for these rosters. And thank god I have a few more weeks left of summer classes, so I can keep myself distracted until they work out all the problems with the game and these rosters

. I look forward to some leagues starting up, of course it will be right around the time of football season starting, so I will have to play OOTP and do fantasy football! BAH

Was fixed with the patch.

Is it just me or are none of the other teams CPU managed? It doesn't seem like the other teams are signing free agents or resigning players or making lineups. Is it just me?

You have to set the AI to manage the teams. But without the minor ratings updates, the AI managers will call up a bunch of AAA players and replace the Major League players already on the rosters.

Well i think I need to get into the stats more, as Im over in blighty, I only know the main ones like average etc!!

Just wanted to say that these rosters are freaking awesome! Great job and greatly appreciated. A quick correction for the Seattle Mariners. You have Soriano listed as the opening day closer, when in fact Eddie Guardado unfortunatly still had that role.

Great roster set. Only issue would be that prospects seem to overwhelm the league in a couple years. This might be an OOTP issue overall and not related to the rosters. But the league leaders after 3-4 seasons is predominately young prospects who came up.

I think they had to lower a lot of stats to make the game more realistic. But when new players are generated it still uses the old, higher-average stats.

So until the player generation programming is modified, new players will very quickly be better than those who start off in the game.

Because (i believe) the minor leagues have not been edited, and their abilities are inflated. The are not "inferior" just over rated and unrealistic in these first two betas. At least that is what I gather from Cubby's explanations in these posts

If you download the newest version of these rosters do you have to start a new game? Or can you just put them into your league without players being reverted back to their original teams? Do the changes that you have made (trades, etc.) remain?

With new rosters, you'd have to start a new game. Nothing you've done with the current set will transfer over, it will be two seperate files/folders.
