I'm just glad he'll be on the mound again. He may miscue on thursday, but hopefully it gets all the kinks out before the Playoffs

He's planning on the playoffs? I thought it might be some sort of farewell outing.

I just assumed he would be in the playoffs. Have you seen/heard anything to the contrary?

I think if all goes well in this start, the playoffs aren't out of the question.

Now that you've clinched a playoff spot, would you guys mind losing out so that we can play Detroit in the first round? thanks.

I think we'd rather play the Yankees in the first round. It's only a 5 game series and we get to use Johan twice, we have a better chance of beating them then, then in a 7 game series where we can only use Johan twice.

I've been saying that same thing for the past several weeks!!!

But right now I'm looking for the Twins to get the best record in the AL, so that would mean Oakland in the first round and Tigers/Yankees in the second...but at home. I'd take homefield advantage over a five game series with the Yankees.

That's true, because that's almost two guaranteed wins, whereas Santana sometimes loses on the road.

If we get home field, we have to be considered strongly to win the ALCS

With the way that Hunter, Morneau, Cuddyer, Mauer are playing right now; I'm not counting anything out - even without homefield advantage.

I'm not worried about Santana. I'd just rather see 3/5 games or 4/7 games played here in Minnesota.

It wasn't looking good last time I checked the game.

Detroit fell 7-4, but the Twins fell 6-4. Still a 1 game differential for the Central

Hunter fouled a 0-1 pitch off of his toe, and on the next pitch swung and missed, falling to the ground when he couldn't put any weight on that foot. He was replaced by Jason Tyner the next inning. Lets hope it isn't too serious!
