But that would be entirely up to you, of course, whether you use my suggested first-round matchups or not for the IPA post-season, EC. CD out.

One of my currently-existing writing projects is a fan fiction story set in some version of the Star Trek Universe, which also will include characters from various other known media franchises, along with many original characters of my own creation. One of the main ships that will be featured in that story and potential sequels to it will be the U.S.S. Covenant, and it will be crewed by many officers and crewmembers from various non-Human species, like Klingons, for example.

Here is what I have so far for baseball uniforms, when it comes to ones people aboard the Covenant might wear when and if they face people assigned to various ships, space stations, and/or bases on other worlds they may visit from time to time. Granted, they'll certainly need at least some additional work done on them over time, and I don't yet have logos made up for them by anyone, whether here or elsewhere on the Net. But this is still what I have so far for a potential team representing those aboard the starship in question, when it comes to uniforms for it.

Please feel free to comment as you like and can, within reason, of course. Colors used are inspired by common Federation, Klingon, and Romulan colors used in the Star Trek Universe, whether Canon, Fanon, or Extended Universe, at least, just so you all know this here well enough. CD out.

Going best-of-three in every postseason series will end the post-season quickly, it seems. That may be too short a length in games per the playoff series for each round, I think, EC. I'd go at least best-of-five, perhaps, if I were you. But then again, you're more than thirty years older than I am, and you've said you're hoping to get to 100 seasons before the end of your IPA, if possible. So it's somewhat understandable to me, of course. And the longer the series are, the less chance you may have of meeting your goal, if I know you well enough, in terms of your related thinking here.

In any case, the IPA is your solo dynasty originally, not mine, so I don't actually have any say in how you run it and all, of course. However, these are just a few of my current thoughts regarding it, so please feel free to take them or not as you will, you know, while trying to keep that fact in mind here. CD out.

I haven't gotten a league or anything related set up for this sort of thing, or at least not as of yet. But I'm still trying to see what comes out when it comes to making up graphics and all for teams, whether or not they'll ever be seen in one of my OOTP games, at least.

These may not ever be present in one of my dynasties, at least, but at least they might inspire me when it comes to my writing, I think. This story will, and already does, have baseball being played in it, even in a Star Trek-type setting, whether it's formal or informal play, in any case. I'm not sure if I'll be able to complete that story within the next nine months or so, but we'll have to see if and when I do.

Remember, my main writing project is currently Lighting Up the Darkness, but I'm still rather stuck on it, unfortunately. And I now have less than ten weeks left to try and meet my original writing plan for it, if at all possible. I'll do my best with it, but I'll still probably have to write at least another 150-200 pages for its first draft before I can see about starting work on its second draft soon after. But this is still what I have so far for a prospective baseball team that could represent the Dragonstar at times, in any case.

Not sure how many other teams I'll make in this thought-vein, but I'm thinking I may try to make items for at least a few more teams, whether associated with the Covenant or the Dragonstar, or not. I unfortunately do not have templates that probably would help items made in it look better, or at least not as of yet. For instance, I don't have a Romulan-style template layer for a uniform or a cap that would probably help the Romulan-themed alternate items look better.

Others may have them, of course. But at the current moment, at least, I don't. And I don't know if anyone would be willing to share them with me, either, for that matter.

In any case, I will continue to make graphics as the Lord leads, to the best of my ability, if and whenever I'm not busy working on other things, whether of a personal nature or some other nature, of course. Agreed, EC. Agree with you completely. Every second, no, every breath and every heartbeat, that God allows us to have in this world, no matter who you are, is a blessing, for He is the Giver of all Life for all Creation, and the Sustainer of it. One day, each of us will leave this world forever, either by death or translation, whether we want to or not. For this world is not the eternal home for each of us, for sure.

One day, everything in this world, no, the Universe as we know it now, will be gone, and eternity will finally begin, never to end for any reason whatsoever, in the presence of our Lord and King Jesus. I can't wait to see the new world and new Universe coming, Lord willing, when that day comes, of course.

I hope to see you one day in reality, whether it's in this life or the next, and hope we can often walk on the streets of gold in eternity with each other, Lord willing, EC. Especially with my now-Homegone brother often accompanying us as we do so, for instance, if possible. CD out.

I'm glad you're having fun at your age - You know what they say, you're as young as you feel. I hope I'm having as fun as you are when I get there.

I once did over 600 seasons of a league, I think it was OOTP 2008. I plan on doing my IPA for a long time - I'm already on season #52 and am showing no signs of slowing down.

My IPA seasons are 162 games, just like today's MLB. I sim to the 81-game mark and post the midseason standings, then sim to the end of the regular season. If there is a tie for a division title I will watch those games, then I watch every playoff game in its entirety. When I get to 1969 I may expand the playoffs like MLB did, we'll see. But it will make it much more cumbersome to watch every playoff game, so I may just keep it as is. I have no intention of expanding ever again - 80 teams is enough.

I've been experimenting with the playoff formats a bit. For a while I made the first round best-of-five, but recently I went back to best-of-seven. The Pro Cup series has been best-of-nine for over a decade. It's been interesting, but it feels like it's a little bit too long - winning 4 games seems like the perfect amount to win a series, so I think next year I'll go back to the traditional best-of-seven for all series. I also experimented with the HHAAHAH format for a while, but HHAAAHH feels more like baseball. The other format is for hockey and basketball.

jg2977, I don't think any of us will see 2030, or 2035, at the latest, before all that must come to pass does, with how everything is happening in the world today, in reality. I could be wrong about that, but that's just what I think here about what the future might hold for us all here, in due time. Which then means I won't actually make it to 65 in this life, if that is true, it seems. For I am 48 now, and if 2035 comes to me in this life, I still won't be 65 in it.

Our King is coming, and I'm awaiting the day when I can actually see Him face-to-face as one of His own, however that day might come to me, in truth. I don't know if I'll still be on this world when that day comes, of course, or not. But I do long to see His face in His perfect timing, as a redeemed imperfect sinner through His grace and mercy. in any case, for sure.

Also, we must consider that even 81 or so years is a very minuscule amount of time to exist when eternity is considered, to be honest. When time is endless, 81 years is like a mere grain of sand on a beach on any planet in the enormous Universe that we already know, come to think of it. Endless perfection and no pain or suffering ever again to be seen by those who are in an eternal Paradise with the Lord of all Creation will be like nothing any of us has ever experienced in our respective mortal lives, or will experience, in them all, in fact.

These are just a few philosophical/theological thoughts of mine here, of course. Please feel free to take them each as you will, if and when you like and can, then, folks. That's all for now, I suppose. CD out.

jg2977, I'd simply like to remind you here of the suggestion I made to you earlier to consider splitting your version of the IPA into four equally-sized levels or leagues, no matter how many teams you have in your overall IPA framework. It might be worth considering further, sometime later on, if you might want to make certain related things at least a bit easier for you to handle with it, I think. CD out.
