The first week is in the books. Preseason favorites, St Louis and Kansas City are at the bottom of their leagues. Willie Davis (Braves) hits for the cycle. Lee Thomas (Twins) hit
2 HR for the week and is equal to his home run output from last year. Tommy Harper (Pirates) leads both league with his .571 BA.

We are done with week #2. Baltimore still sits atop of the American League, while the White Sox can't seem to find their footing. Meanwhile over in the National League, the Dodgers are
sitting up there, thanks to a 9 game winning streak. Tommy Harper (Pirates) keeps rolling along, he leads the National League with his .500 BA, while Jacky Jensen (Tigers) leads the
American League with .526 BA.

May 11th Update

It looked like the Dodgers were going to run away with the National League, but Cincinnati came on strong with 10 straight wins. Over in the American League everyone is within striking.
Pittsburgh Pirate Bob Neiman hits for the cycle.

Baltimore and Los Angeles are trying to pull away from each of their respected divisions. Houston actually managed to win a single for the week as well as the Twins. Ron Santos (Cardinals)
is the top hitter at .421 while Met Jack Hiatt is not too far behind at .402. Twins Frank Robinson hit his 300th HR.

The American League has three of the worst teams, White sox, Twins, and Angels. The Twins are 0-11 in one run games . The Red Sox vault to the top thanks to a 6-1 record for
the week. Over in the National League, the Dodges see their lead shrink as they go 3-4 and the Cardinals and Braves move closer. Bob Nieman (Pirates) picks up his 2000th hit.
Ron Santos (Cardinals) leads both leagues with his .393 BA.

June 1st 1964 Update

Twins' Frank Robinson is named AM player of the week. While Andy Carey of the Mets is named for the NL. Jim Lonborg pitches his first NO HITTER and the Leagues' first of the season.
After a quick start, the Dodgers have cooled off a bit, as a result the pack is ganging up. On the other side of town, the Angels have lost 14 straight games, and the Washington Senators
are on a 10 games losing streak

What a week makes. The Boston Red Sox had a productive month of May, going 21-9, then for June so far, drop 8 straight. Once top leader of the National League the Dodgers are
fighting for a slice of the pie, tied for 3rd place. NL Player of the Week, Bill Singer (Angels), his only 2 wins of the season are shut outs (2-6) and during the past week too.
