The Sharks have given up on this season and perhaps their short term future by trading SP Walter Johnson to us and 1b Dan Lincoln to the Yankees. Both are FA after the season. While this season might be over after making it to the Battle of Endor last season, they do still have a talented team. C Curry, Cf Simmons, SP Roberts, Dundon & Beiber. They, however, have no top prospects coming in anytime soon.
After losing 2 of 3 to Pontiac and a 15 inning game, many starters will rest during this series.

Good week overall. Should have won the Pontiac series. We go to Highland for 3, while they probably won't make the playoffs, they are a young good team. Then we end the month hosting the Caps for 3, 2 to end the month. They are trying to overtake Marlboro.


Trading Duong, Leoni & Morrisette for Cedomil Buturovic was a good move that should help us this year and beyond. CB is great vs LHP, has a ton of power and hits for high AVG. He is arbitration eligible after the season but isn't asking for a ton.Only knock on him is that he has a terrible arm, even for a 2b. I will see if he can learn 1b in ST. He will mostly hit 5th vs RHP & DH. This moves Kool kat to 2b and Juan San Antonio to 3b. This helps our bad defense at 2b and we don't lose much at 3rd. This might affect Kats gold glove chances this season but after a conversation with him, he is willing to move back to 2b.

Despite the 1st winning record in a long time for the Scots, they probably will not make the playoffs. They are a long way back in both the division and wildcard. Cf Chicago Tribune is on a rehab assignment, so it's doubtful we will see him this series. Maine has been carrying this Offense. Valdez, DiCaprio & Bradley have done well also. Despite that they have no true ace or a flashy starter, their rotation is solid. They do have the best reliever in the AL in Raul Martinez.I can't give enough accolades to MGR Rob Pinson. I've made my history with him well known, so I am glad that my friend is having success with the Scots. Hopefully next season they can win the West or make a wildcard.
