Only because they are too drunk to find the remote

It's the international sports competition where we fail to live up to expectations.

Oh wait, that was basketball...and hockey...and ...

(BTW, USA down 1-0 to Czech Republic as I write this. )

You know I'm hoping they can do it, but at the moment it don't look like it.

Let's hope you're right though.

The US is for sure outclassed, but the youth could help in the 2nd half

Wow, I think Koller could be coming off here with a hamstring - that will negate the Czechs' height if he comes off.

Anything is possible. Just need to find some way around the defense and create some consistent shot opportunities

Good to hear the crowd give Koller a good round of applause as he was stretchered down the tunnel - to go off with that kind of injury in a WC must be heart-breaking for the big man.

Moronic Bruce Arena had a terrible gameplan

Right well at half-time:

obviously the US needs to find some legitimate offence from somewhere, their midfield play is pretty good but they are not making the through ball to make a real threat on the Czech goal.

Not an insumountable mountain that they face but I think they need to get the through ball working.

With no Baros and Koller USA should attack unmercifully...the 2nd goal was great but it took an absolutely perfect strike to get it in...all is not lost

This is the greatest American team ever, according to Eric Wynalda.
