I'm only about 20 miles away - it would be worth it if I didn't have my kid tucked in, lol. Ah, well; catch me tomorrow, perhaps!

Given what I'm seeing in this thread, I just have to wonder how hard Mal and Mats are on Microsoft given its track record...

See the difference is that I have yet to actually have to personally pay for any Microsoft products. They've always been provided to me by my dad or the school's tech center.

No, he has no right to complain since he didn't pay for them.

Ok, just hoping that all the folks who are concerned about the issues w/ OOTP are as concerned and as involved w/ holding the other software developers as accountable as you are in this case.

Well, Steve, I guess since he didn't pay for them, he is getting his money's worth.

Something I'm wondering about is what someone said in another thread. If people are so unhappy, they should ask for their money back, especially since we were all promised to have H2H in the game, and it has yet to be delivered. I wonder if OOTP would even consider it.

I'm so angry at Microsoft that I've gone Linux on all but my game machine. When OOTP supports Linux I'll convert that box over as well.

Linux, Open Office, Firefox, Thunderbird...who needs Microsoft anyway?

Well, if that's the case, then I think anyone who says we shouldn't be bitching might as well pass over this thread since we've paid to bitch. We can't demand our money back for unfulfilled promises.

Yeah, Linux's game support, or lack thereof, is why I don't consider switching.

And as far as not complaining about Microsoft, Head Chet Holyroller nailed it perfectly: I've never paid for a Microsoft product, so I have no right to complain about them.

At any rate, would OOTP rather be like Microsoft, a company that puts out shabby software that is easily surpassed by competitors and is completely non-responsive to their customers but continues to dominate the market because they have a complete monopoly or would you rather be a company that listens to and responds to what their customers have to say?

And anyway, it's a terrible comparison. A more apt comparison would be to the now defunct .400 Studios, Pure Sim, FOF or the like. And yes, I have purchased products from two of the three and complained when needed. I bitched and bitched and bitched about TD and returned Total Pro Football while FOF has never really had a bad release since I started buying them. I've never bought Pure Sim but I don't see why I wouldn't complain if I did and it was buggy.

Not trying to make the comparison concerning MS, but with ANY software developer.

All the reported bugs? Woo, I hope so. Good news in any case.

Well, that's two out of five. That still leaves: H2H, manual, and PbP.
