I'll repeat myself: I will never, ever use this feature.

That being said, part of me still hopes the release doesn't happen for a while.
I see what you're saying... But you say unless you could figure out to go through seasons in a matter of days... Well... Considering seasons take a month or two in real life to simulate for online leagues(Are you in any, by any chance?). Playing head-to-head leagues would slow down by about 2 to 3 times more, making them from 3-6 months long, which to some people doesn't sound appealing. Why do you join head to head leagues? To watch the sims fly by? Or to play each game? Obvoiusly to play them out, and like you and MANY many others, have no interest, which is fine. It doesn't appeal to you. I think if people had time, the H2H would be more attractive to them.

I just rambled on absolutely nothing. Goes to show that I have lots of time and would love to play h2h league(s).

I have to admit that came to mind when I read what Markus posted as well. Of course I think the financial co-efficient was a bit more difficult to put in the game than head to head...

I would agree with Jax, Bruce and Statfreak except for the fact that I, like Ben, sim seasons and not individual games and therefore have absolutely no interest in this feature. So I guess I understand both sides of the argument.

Um, no, Markus rules. I'm sure the majority would like the game for free, but that sure as heck doesn't mean that that majority rules.

well, you're obviously new here... presenting a differing opinion is not complaining... besides my contributions far outweigh your perceived complaining.

I'm in none, because you can't get through seasons fast enough. That's why I can say with certainty that I'll never, ever use that feature. I tried an OOTP5 multiplayer league (with Markus, Steve, etc.), and didn't enjoy it.

I'm not too sure about the financial coefficient, as I joined at the release of OOTP5. However, somehow I'm doubting Markus would scrap something as big as H2H that is already 50% done. He told us that if the game is released early, H2H will be in the next update. I don't see any reason to complain yet about that until it doesn't make it into the first update. Then we can all start freely bitching at Markus.

Apparantly 90% of people want the game without H2H, and well, 90% of people is a rather large majority. Perhaps we should just wait on what Markus decides, or atleast not let this degenerate into blatant insults.

Actually, statfreak has a good point. I wasn't aware that this feature had been promised in the past. I can understand his leeriness, and would feel it too if I cared about this feature.

agreed.

Getting back on topic, i don't know as if i'll use this feature much unless it is incorporated into my Online leagues, but neither league is going to be switching for quite some time, so i have no problem waiting 2 or 3 weeks.

Try looking at it this way - Nobody is complaining, they're just stating their opinions/feelings on the issue. When two people have different opinions on something, it doesn't mean one of them is complaining.

but Markus didn't put up a poll on wether or not it should be free

...but seriously, a few more pages of this, and i'm sure he'll be regreting even asking us...i don't understand why everyone can't just put in their vote and maybe post a comment...why do we have to try to convert everyone else to our own opinion? it's not as if anyone's going to change their mind...

I seem to remember them saying that a "Finacial Coeff" would of required a repreogramming of the whole finacial engine which is why they scrapped it last time.

Yeah, I think this thread should be closed now. I think Markus has a pretty good idea by now how most people feel.

As I recall, Markus had been working on the financial coefficient too; he just wasn't able to get everything working in time for the initial release - but he did say it would be in the first big update in this thread here: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...503#post214503

It never was.

Do the two sound similar?

I would prefer the game to include h2h when released.

and I would like for people to stop with their uninformed conjecture.

I don't think I'll see either one.

I agree. Everyone is entitled to their own opinnion, now all we can do is wait and see what Markus decides to do.

i agree with treedom, markus will be wondering why he let the dogs loose with this thread after a couple more pages.

i would love to see the game come out sooner if it is completed except for H2H. I am looking to start a league with it in the future and would like to play around with all the different new features to see what will work with my league ideas and what won't. like someone said earlier in here, Markus is boss. It's his game, his decisions, and he just asks for our input. What he does with the input we give him isn't up to us in the end and there's no reason to bash every stupid post in this thread. It won't change when the game comes out. That being said I will wait until Markus decides he wants to release it. Then I will play the living H-E Double Hockey Sticks out of it.

I think that starting this thread and having a vote was a really bad move.

We are all anxious to start playing this game, but it's not finished yet. I know my credit card has been charged already, and I paid for the full product, and I wouldn't be getting it.

I would rather have just continued to be left in the dark about the release date than watch everyone fight with one another. But too late now, might as well just release it. But by releasing it early, and unfinished, how many bugs are we going to find in it? I just see the whole thing causing a lot of hate and discontent.
