LGE, I hope when you amass more logos you would consider doing something like mnleague and make them available to all. When I finally feel confident enough to start my own fictional online league I would love to have an entire league with only your awsome logos.

I always liked the image I captured for the pastime club (it was a picture of a token). Has the righ "era feel" to it, but obviously isn't a "baseball logo". I played around with it this morning, and... well, what do you guys think ?
If I use this for 1901 - I'll still need updated eras. |

Henry I think that picture was great and hopefully it looks ok on the skin. I did have to crop and resize it, and then turned the opaqueness (sp) down. Also I did a test of my idea of placing the team names on the side of the main picture and then fading them out. Since I dont have my league team name finnalized I used the teams from your league.
Edit; Just noticed that two of the teams were lost, they got covered up by the skin menu at the top, will have to make some adjustments. But anyway you get the feel of it.

nmleague,
That looks super ! The balpark pic fits perfectly and adds to the feel of the league. I'd say the team names are the only thing left ![]() ps: That ballpark used to be about 5 miles from where I live

Okay, here is another logo concept for the Cincinnati Pioneers. This was actually the first version I started working on, before I decided to make the covered wagon I used in the version I posted earlier (since the wagon turned out so well I finished that version first).

Super thread...Super logos...Super work, guys.
I just started a 32 team league (4 divisions) and I did a little dreaming...It starts in 1901...wouldn't be nice to have the logos evolve like Henry's League. BUT THEN I WOKE UP... and realized 96 logos would be needed if you had 3 different eras. I may post my needs one at a time and over time get it done. Since I will sim each game half inning by half inning...it will take quite awhile to finish through the 20's. Maybe I'll start with 32 and get the rest over time. Sure do wish Cuss16, Shub, knuckler and Markmeister were still doing logos here...it would be nice to see what they could do with Henry's project. Excellent once again LGO
This one is probably not right for the game (150x150) but is perfect for the Team Pages that will eventually be on the website

I like that, looks like it would be just right for the early 1900's.

OK.... Status Update !!
Hey guys,
Here are my choices to date. Still a couple missing, some I've created myself, and a few I've modified what you offered a bit. I did want to say that I figured out I couldn't use any logo that had a "BB" on it since I have both the Brooklyn Bridegrooms and the Boston Beaneaters I didn't figure that out till tonight.So... please offer your comments. Be honest. Tell me what you like - and what you don't like ![]()

I would only suggest for the latter two Excelsiors logos you put white outline around the "Excelsiors" text, since it is black type and it gets a bit lost on the dark coloured diamond outlines (part of the reason why I put the text on the outside of the diamond, and also because it's a bit different.
).Henry, I meant to ask you how you antiqued the first Haymakers logo - I like how it looks. I'm finding choosing good colours to be a real challenge, as I just can't seem to find many that work well when I look at them onscreen. They're either too light or too dark or don't mesh well together... it feels like I only have a handful of colours that I feel work well. I had an idea for a Pastime logo, but I can't really get it to work properly, so I'll probably just leave it. I also tweaked the two Pioneers logos I posted earlier; I wasn't entirely satisfied with them and made a few small changes (which probably most folks won't even notice). Thanks, Cuss. I'm pretty pleased with how that wagon turned out too.
![]() I think what's different in the logos I'm doing is that unlike what most folks do for theirs, which is use a digital imaging editing program like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, I'm doing everything in a vector drawing program (in my case, CorelDRAW). It does make for a different look and feel to the logos. Though I must say I just played around with a logo and Photoshop and it was easier to add effects to it than I thought. I had been planning to do more finishing of the logos in Photoshop, but hadn't really seen the need to (I usually only use it to edit photos and such). Now, after a little bit of experimentation, I must say I really ought to have given this more consideration.

And here is the game play screen. I know its a little weird, but for a solo league I like the feel.
