Haha, bud my tired old eagle eyes didn't even notice that. As you well know, I understand the vagaries of these guys and never get too beaten out of shape about such anomalies. But each one we pick up and fix is one less that's broken, I guess.

Imma gonna leave Telo with the Velo as a young gun in that timeline and see how many of the Gulf League's As del Monticulo awards he can rack up...

I found another NeL player issue, per both Baseball-Reference and Seamheads. Vet Barnes (barnes000ed- / barneve01) is listed on the database as Ed Barnes, with no hometown (should be Silver Creek, MS) and the wrong DoB (should be 1911-12-23). They also have a DoD listed as 1974-05-13 (in Vallejo, CA, if it matters -- I see the fields on the database but am not sure if they're being used).

Fixed. At one time BBR and Seamheads had him as "Ed" - you can tell by the Historical Minors ID suffix of "ed-".

Yeah, I figured as much. I see that "Ed" is now listed as one of his nicknames on Seamheads. It looks like Baseball-Reference has not picked up any (or very few) of the NeL nicknames from there, sadly.

MOST of it doesn't matter, but it does cause issues like Joe DiMaggio being a rookie for the Dodgers because the 1935 San Francisco Seals are incorrectly listed as a Dodgers affiliate rather than independent.

I have the setting checked to import rookies directly to teams but they are imported as free agents once the offseason starts. I tried unchecking and rechecking the box and went to the next offseason but the same thing happened. Not sure what to do about that.

Hi! Since the new version (build 61), my historical challenges have gone wonky on me. Instead of the historical challenge I desire, I am presented with options for a new game. This is not a mouse-scaling problem. Thanks in advance for your help!

EDIT: the problem has apparently fixed itself! latest attempt at running historical challenges started out on the new base game screen, then after a second or so, it flashed over to the "normal" screen for historical challenges.

Eddie Fusselback for the 1882 St Louis browns started a game on 8/23/1882.
However he was also released on 8/23/1882.
The transaction is historically correct as he was released on 8/23/1882.
It might be best to move his release to the 24th so he can make his last start.

Bill Geiss made his last start for the 1882 Baltimore AA team on 9/3/1882.
Can his release from Baltimore be moved to Sep 4th 1882?

This thread is exclusively for database corrections. Wrong dates of birth, cities of birth, stats, etc. Literally volunteers correcting fields in a massive database.

As for the issue you present, I am not even sure what the issue is. Is it that when you select Challenge Mode in a Historical Game, it takes you directly to the Advanced Menu and not the Wizard? You said, you select Challenge mode and are "presented with options for a new game". that's seems fine on its own... but I presume you skip the Wizard? If so, say that. I'm a helpful kinda guy, but on this one I had no idea what the specific issue was because the narrative wasn't sufficient for me to tell what was happening.

I believe someone can be a player or a manger but not a player and a manager at the same time. If a request, I'd recommend adding it to the suggestion subforum so they will see it. Alas, it is not a database error or issue with a field that I can go edit & fix.

In a Historic replay that was started after.61 update, Covid Year, Minor Leagues go away. I just moved to 2021, and the Minor Leagues have not returned. Is this not an error? Minors Modified but came back in 2021.

Just to clarify, you said "In a historic replay..." - does that mean Replay Mode defaults with historical transactions/line-ups on or did you mean that term less specifically, as in "In a historical game that was started in 2020..."

Negro Leaguer Ruby Tyrees [tyreeru01 / tyrees000rub] has an incorrect birth year -- it should be 1891, not 1894. In fact, on the minor league database, it looks like 1891 is in the year of death field. Year of death should be 1965.

Bud, it seems Homer "Goose" Curry has two entries the DB, both debuting in 1928:

curry-000hom appears to be the correct one, with pitching and hitting stat lines, whereas curry049goo imports as a fictional DH.

Also from the '28 class, LD Livingston was born in Fort Worth Texas on 02/19/1905. Both fields are currently blank.

Bill "Cy" Perkins' birth data is wrong, it should be 06/26/1906 in Dawson GA. Looks as if he has been given the info for Ralph "Cy" Perkins. Also appears he has no stat lines at all.

POB for John "Neck" Stanley should be Kent County MD but looks like there's only a Kent Narrows which is a little south of there.

And in your mod and likely the game DB, Jim Willis was born on 06/11/1906 in Lobdell LA
