This was a massacre. Eppa Rixey threw a shutout as the Dodgers crushed the Giants, 13-0.

A John Titus home run provided the scoring as the Dodgers beat the Braves, 2-1.

Tom Hughes left the game with an ab strain but it does not sound too serious.

Eppa Rixey was named the NL Player of the Week. He went 2-0 with a 0.43 ERA.

For the AL it ws Solly Hofman of the Highlanders.

Brooklyn climbed to #8 on the Weekly Power Rankings.

It took 14 innings but Bris Lord hit an RBI single to score Jack Lapp and give the Dodgers a walk-off, 6-5 win over the Reds.

Eddie Higgins went straight from the field to the trainer's room when he left the game after the 11th. We await word as to his condition.

Jimmy Dygert hasn't had a great showing this season since the Rule 5 pick-up was forced into the rotation to replace the injured Christy Mathewson. Today, however, he pitched a complete game win for his first W of the year.
