Toronto saw homers from Jeimer Candelario, Greg Bird, and Leonard O'Neill.

WP - Joe Ortiz (4-1)

The Jays have two players showing a decent amount of votes with Eugene Silver running in 2nd at SS (behind Iwane Sato of the Yankees), and Jeimer Candelario in 3rd at 3B (behind William Becker of the Astros and Bailey Powers of the Red Sox).

The Jays are now below .500 as they lost, 4-2, to the Royals.

Steve Lombardozzi homered for Toronto.

Randy Copeland left the game with a dead arm. It looks like an IL stay.

That is seven losses in a row for the Blue Jays.

LP - Alex Burgos (4-4)

Record - 21-22

This was a tough one. Not only did the Jays lose to the Royals 13-5 for their eighth straight loss, but Leonard O'Neill left the game with a herniated disc in his back.

He may not need IL time, but he will certainly need some bench time.

O'Neill homered earlier in the game.

WP - Tom Smith (3-0)
LP - Elvin Chaney (1-2)

Record - 21-23

The good news: Jeff Niemann led the Jays to an 8-2 win over the Royals, breaking their losing streak.

The bad news: With Leonard O'Neill already injured, Adam Guy left the game with a foot injury. We are not sure how serious it is.

D.J. Hicks harmed for Toronto.

WP - Jeff Niemann (1-1)
LP - Ramon Cantu (2-4)

Record - 22-23

Despite being unsure as to the severity of his injury, Adam Guy was placed on the IL.

It was needed to the roster crunch of having two injured outfielders.

John Riley was Designated for Assignment and placed on waivers.

Jose Alvarez was called up from Buffalo.

Ethan Elias' first start with the Jays did not go well. He gave up five runs in less than an inning and the Jays fell to the Twins, 10-5.

On top of that, John Danks left the game with a back strain.

D.J. Hicks homered for Toronto.

WP - Sam Selman (2-0)
LP - Ethan Elias (0-1)

Record - 22-24
