While I agree with what your saying. I think the point youre bringing up is different than what we were talking about. This is about those who can spend $$$ to get the best player for the points. But you can always play that game. What point total would determine suitable? 500k? 200k? 100k? There will always be those that say the point total is to high. Any game where money is involved and can be used to get advantage there will always be some aspect of p2w Dont get me wrong. I agree it would make it more fair. i also think that league would be semi boring. I think many teams would just have the same players. And with no roster changes through the season ... there wouldnt be much interaction. Maybe I am wrong. Start a thread. See if others want to play in such a league. Create one. Let me know how it goes |

I couldn’t care less either way. I will never be back here anyway. I will be full throttle with 20. If I cared about this league I would have bought that perfect Pedro that was capped a couple days ago. I only came here to begin with because of the people. Now that a lot are moving on , I will also. They are a great group. But Like George said “All good things must pass.” 😁

That is why 20 will be interesting. Everyone starting with Nothing and if you want to stay that way you can while others can go full throttle with a uncapped league and play against the big boys. Everyone now knows how the game is played so it will totally be up to them on where they want to go with it. I know one goal of mine is to get Perfect Pedro and Schilling as my one and two but who knows if they will be available. Also who knows if they will be the same dominant pitchers or if there will be someone better. Can’t wait to find that out with all the new cards coming out. Sounds like there will be a lot of surprises. All I know is I still love this mode and I am still learning and this week I am back into having fun experimenting so I for one cannot wait for 20 to hit the market place. 19 was a blast. I want to thank everyone in this league for making the game even more fun and challenging for me. I will always have a soft spot for all of you and this League.😁

If someone wants to take over management of the league and try to maintain it as a cap league, that is fine with me and I will be glad to help in the transition. I don't want to force uncapped on anyone. However, it is naïve to believe that it will stay uncapped unless it is actively managed. Left unattended, there will be teams just taking advantage as we had in the first couple of weeks.

Should I be concerned that my Pythagorean difference is +8?

I think it is a good time to say that I have every intention of maintaining this league as it is until 20 is released, so anyone who comes in late to this conversation should be aware that we are merely thinking out loud and planning ahead.

I am getting OOTP20 and plan on participating, but I only want one team. I am curious what the auction will be like in the next version.

My vote is 1 of 30 so take it for what it is...
I don't like the idea of an AH cap as it's too fluctuating and impossible to police. I'd much rather the system as is. If we want to uncork it altogether and anything goes I'm guessing I'd be around the middle ground. Some good spare parts in reserve that are only in reserve because I can't fit them under the cap as is. But I also know that there are teams well BELOW the cap with nothing in reserve, and teams with way MORE in reserve than I do that would instantly be bigger whales. I vote we leave as is. If we're throwing ideas out there, maybe lower the Diamond league cap to 40 as I know my teams grew before getting promoted to above 40 and I had an advantage on some of the teams with fewer points. But as I no longer have a team there (at least until next week maybe) maybe I shouldn't have a vote at all! ![]() |

It is certainly an option to keep everyone friended (without further maintenance) and leaving the cap in place. There will be teams that are over the cap, but we have dealt with that a few times anyway.

Next week will be my last week in this league. Not because of 20, but because I'm going on vacation and I'm NOT taking my laptop with me. So, by the time I'm back lots of things will have changed and I'd prefer to play this team without a cap while in zombie mode.

Actually, March 17 might be the logical end date for the league anyway. PT 2.0 will likely start with entry pool play on the 22nd and players (me included) will be distracted putting their new teams together.

I haven't been around much this week, or really last because of work and other commitments, but really enjoyed playing with all of you, and a big thanks to Orcin for organizing.
I'll be moving to 20, but I'm definitely up for leaving a group on the list and seeing what happens. I'm not in favor of a cap, because a cap league that isn't managed like Orcin did and with a dedicated group of owners isn't going to work in my opinion. I'm really planning to pare down my roster, put my best team forward, sell off my reserves, buy packs once a week, and see what happens. |

This is going to be the last week for me, as well. I do not plan on playing PT in 20 for a number of reasons not relevant to this thread. This league has been fun. Thank you Orcin for putting this league together and having the tenacity to stick with several bloated whale dominated seasons. I wish you all well.
