Lol, He was hitting .288 without his usually power whatever that would be. I platoon my team. That has always worked for me. I constantly tinker so if you do not perform I can find a replacement. I got rid of my favorite player of all time (Willie Mays) because he was not getting the job done. If I can get rid of him I can get rid of anyone. As of right now I have Cobb playing center and platooning Betts and Puckett in right until I find a replacement for Ruth. My hitting is not the problem right now. But I always play with it anyways.

Oh, gotcha. I thought you were onto something. Sure wish we could view multiple leagues and teams.

I hear you on the tinkering. Wish I was in a position to tinker with a Babe Ruth card. I still say benching Babe is bad juju ;-)

I thought I heard about a curse at one point?

That's long gone.

Although this is the 100 year anniversary of that. As long as the Red Sox don't sell Mookie Betts to the Yankees and start a new curse this offseason has been a successful one. hehe

Yeah, I really wish I had a Babe Ruth to bench.

Lol. You are probably right my friend. (I would never argue with you on strategy because you are so damn good.) Last season I won my Division by 28 games so I learned how to tinker on Saturday and I did all day. Now I have a 10 game lead so I can tinker a little bit . But to be honest, I never seem satisfied with my roster. I am retired so I watch all (or most) of my games so I get to see and feel the flow of how the players are doing. I have a huge advantage over most people because I can do this. I disagree about the theory you can just set a lineup and can come back tomorrow to see how it does. I am not that good of a player. I need to see and feel the flow of the streaks and adjust from there. Some people can just know what to do, Unfortunately I am not one of those people.

LOL. Having different methods of fighting to the top is part of what makes this all fun. And your multiple WS rings going back to Beta proves you know exactly what you're doing.
I'm just superstitious about the Bambino. ;-)

As the wise Thomas Jefferson once said, "I am a great believer in luck. The harder I work the more of it I seem to have."

Lol. Thank you my friend and you could be right about the Babe.I am in a bad losing streak right now. The only thing saving me is FireAnty and Knive are having a terrible year. This game is funny, Sometimes no matter what I do it goes wrong.

This game sure is funny. Just when you think you have it figured out something happens. I guess that's part of the challenge though, and what makes us keep coming back.

I was playing well, until I ran into the Breakers. I almost posted about Sean Doolittle earlier who has been lights out for me, but never hit send, and he's blown his first three saves of the year since I didn't do it.

You got that right, I have lost 8 straight and head to the Knives home. My lead is going downhill fast..

Not that I hold a grudge (which I do), but they swept me two years in the playoffs, so you aren't allowed to let them beat you too, keep getting revenge for me!

What's your lead down to now?

I have lost 14 out of the last 15. I had a 12 and a half game lead now down to 5 games. I never win in their park even when I am good so I will have a 2 game lead. I have never been here before. My biggest losing streak ever was 4 games in all those seasons. Can you say CHOKE. I feel like the 1951 Dodgers.

Not only that but I checked the schedule for September and while I play 7 games against the first place teams FireAnty plays 12 games against last place teams. Time to bring Ruth back. He has to sit out 6 more games. But that really won’t help because it is not my hitting that gone bananas it is my pitching. I always had great pitching but this year they suck and I have tried everything. The way things look this could be the first year I miss the playoffs.😩

My pitching is going through an awful rough stretch too. I'm going to say it's just the dog days of summer, and they'll rebound in September. I've got faith in your staff.

Good luck tomorrow. I think good things will happen if Babe is back in your lineup!

Virginia's final roster additions paid off this month. Smoltz, Cy Young, A-Rod, McGwire, and Big Klu sent him1.5 game ahead. Are you going to counter tomorrow or ride the current team out?
