Henderson Alvarez seemed dialled in today but after three scoreless innings he left with a strained abdominal. The bullpen was not so effective and the Jays lost to the Mariners by a score of 10-6.

Devon Travis and Mitch Haniger homered for Toronto.

Alvarez is not heading to the DL but his next start may need to be pushed back.

D.J. Davis was ejected after an argument with he umpire.

Devon Travis left the game with a sore foot. It is not expected that he will miss more than a game or two.

The Blue Jays made a valiant effort at a comeback but there was no catching Boston as the Red Sox won 12-8.

Toronto saw homers from Lazaro Alonso, Michael Brantley, Mitch Haniger, and Mike Trout.

After the game Colton Murray was complaining about an ab strain. The trainer said it just needs a little rest.
