One thing I have always wanted in OOTP is the ability to play as teams that you have managed in the year 2024 or another year in the future and use them to play the 1999 New York Yankees for example in the historical exhibition mode. Is that possible?

So basically export a team you've seen in a current league you have and play them against a historical team? Thats a great question, im curious about this too.

If I recall, there is a bug where a hitting streak carries over to the beginning of the season from either the prior year or maybe spring training. Has anyone else seen that and has it been fixed?

Other Winter Leagues can be created their easy. This Game will never have all the Rules and Options like in Real Life,

I always see the hitting streak carry over from previous season but wont count for the current season and will disappear from standing screen as it started from last season. I really don't know if its a bug or not .... once in awhile would see it disappear even if a streak started in midseason as well.

All the options, no, likely not, but it would be nice to get a few more.

I'd need to study more to see what the CWS format is. If it's not too complicated, then we can certainly try to get it in sometime.

Yeah, definitely at some point would be nice to get. The main problem is that the teams are a mix of regular guys contracted to the team, along with some MLB guys who go over. They kind of straddle the line between what OOTP considers a "league" vs a "tournament" which complicates things.

That always annoyed me. A hitting streak should not carry over from season to season. Games played, yes. But not hitting.

I must admit, that's difficult to read. Your differentiator is that you have the best baseball simulation engine in the business. If your focus isn't always primarily on this part of the game (perfecting it, adding to it, and perfecting it again), and instead it's on making your game pretty, I can't say how much I'm interested in the "future of the game".

Hopefully, that was just an exaggerated phrase to emphasize a point, and isn't truly the case.

OOTP has dedicated people that work on 3D. No resource is being taken away from one part of game development to focus on another.

No need to fret, they know where there bread is buttered. And I'm pretty confident it will NEVER turn into MLB the Show.

And because we say the focus is on 3D, that still certainly includes updates to PBP and everything else with the sim. Lukas' comment I believe mostly means that you should not expect large updates to, say, the webcast screen or 2D ball paths.

Yeah exactly.

No need to read more into what I said that what I actually indicated in the context of the comment, which was in regard to 2D compared to 3D and indicating that we're focused on 3D, not 2D going forward.

I wasn't saying that we're somehow focused on 3D and not on the AI, or sim engine or any of the million and one other things that make the game great and that we're focused on and will continue to focus on.

I wonder if some kind of player loan system would help that?
