And that last section of stands down the left-field line doesn't have a railing between the seats and oblivion.

This is easily the most lopsided game I've ever played. My pitcher pitched a one-hit complete game shutout (taking a no-hitter into the 8th) and wasn't even named the Player of the Game.

The award went to my third baseman. He had five hits with two home runs, and somehow managed to go an entire game without committing an error (he's had a rough year in the field).

I believe this was first seen on FHM3, if I'm not mistaken.

Now hold on a second. Are you telling me the Marlins would ask for mediocre players in return for a Giancarlo Stanton trade? INCONCEIVABLE!

Sounds like a fictional reproduction of the 1982 Oakland A's.

Here's the starting rotation of that fictional team the news article was talking about.

I signed a veteran major league starting pitcher to a minor league contract mid-season after injuries had eaten away at much of my pitching depth.

Well, injuries quickly swallowed this guy whole. He made two starts for me in AAA, getting injured in both. He threw a grand total of 12 pitches between the two starts, logging just a single inning. He's now out for the rest of the year:

Here is a pitcher with a 5 hit game. He was a double short of the cycle. He pitched a complete game. And, despite all that, he wasn't the player of the game. His right fielder hit a grand slam and drove in 6.
