Two solid innings from Sanchez. Soak it in while it lasts!

It took the Tigers until late September and the 16th game against them to pick up their 3rd win against the Indians last year.

If they could have done this last season they likely would have won the Central and there's a real chance the Indians not only don't go to the World Series, but miss the playoffs.....

Also, I love Gibby in the booth. For the most part he's no nonsense, provides actual analysis (instead of stupid catch phrases like STOP IT! or I SEE YOU!), and isn't afraid to present advanced stats and different ideas to his audience.

The fact that he has both playing AND managerial experience and isn't afraid to use both is also nice.

He could use just a little more emotion, but all in all he's by far my favorite of the color guys we've used the last few years.

Gibson brings all you mentioned to the booth, but he does it in a subtle way that isn't in your face and unlike Rod he isn't loud. Rod over powers the game and simply doesn't understand that baseball doesn't require constant noise. Gibson also rubs off on Mario when they work together and Mario is better for it. I love the back and forth between Mario and Gibby. Especially when they move toward the silly or humorous. Gibby constantly trying to talk Josh into doing things for charity always gets me chuckling. The thing that cracks me up is, Rod is doing Tiger games and Tiger games only. But, if you listen to his style of calling a game, you would think he's doing a random game of the week for Fox in that he's spouting noise that a casual haven't seen a Tiger game this year fan might need, but it's simply not required for folks that watch the Tigers on a regular basis.

A rusty Miggy is supposed to be back in the lineup tonight.

Great game! Frankie with another 'save'

Rodríguez relieved J. Wilson
Chisenhall grounded out to shortstop
Almonte struck out swinging
Gomes doubled to deep right
Gomes to third on wild pitch by Rodríguez
Santana walked
Santana to second on fielder's indifference
Lindor popped out to third.

Well not exactly the pitchers duel that was expected (like in April) . Didn't watch, but listened to the first couple innings. Tom Hamilton discussed the records of the two pitchers against the other team. Was surprised that neither Verlander nor Kluber had a great record against the other team. I think both were below .500 with ERAs around 4.50.

Question, when Hamilton was discussing their records, was he screaming at the top of his lungs?

Well, no. But it was only the first inning. He did scream a little during the wild pitch though.

Whew. Close to a ninth inning meltdown. Averted disaster.

Good game. For a minute there though, I was enjoying watching someone else's bullpen melt.

Watching the game tonigh and seeing that the Tigers are up 5-4 going into the 9th with K-Rod warming up...

I can only imagine the fear in the A's lineup of K-Rod's 89-90 mph fastball!!!

Another great outing by Zimmermann wasted......oh wait. It's a little easier to accept high priced suckage if it eats innings, but when it's only good for 5 innings, it's just Pelfreyesque.
