And what of proper schedule lengths for all these minor leagues? What about the playoff formats? (I did pass along data to the guys in regards to the latter; don't know if it got used or not.) Also, in terms of minor league clubs moving, I'm going to point out there is no reliable history of minor league franchises. There is disagreement between sources in some years as to what actually happened within a league. (There were also numerous instances of franchise moves during a season, which I presume is not being recreated.) For example, the 1989 New York-Penn League. One source lists the Niagara Falls and Welland clubs being added as expansion teams. Another source lists the Watertown club as having moved to Welland, with an expansion club then being added to Watertown. These are not the same situations (though the end result in terms of league line up is the same). |

Well, you can't retire guys according to history with RD historical, so it darn well better be. (It is: it caused Clayton Kershaw to absolutely crash and burn in one of my games, but then again Tillie Shafer [who?] made it to the HoF with 3,022 hits!) The reason for using both is the guys that have a limited amount of stats (think young, current players like Kershaw, or guys from yesteryear who didn't get that much MLB playing time like Shafer). Once they get beyond those, you want to have the player development system takeover rather than endlessly re-calcing their final season, which might result in them playing until age 65.

Curious will we be able to choose which nations we want to participate in the World Baseball League??? Wonders also how will the game determine what players will join what team and will that be an option or just sticking with real life rosters?? |

I love the storyline after each game above the box score ... terrific thinking there. Would be interesting to see how the game handles that plus I am reasonably sure (educated guess) we would be able to add to it as well

![]() They have the Tampa Bay Rays winning the AL East this year so no big deal. The Rays will be lucky to win 75 games this year.

The automatically generated game reports and headlines make me MUCH more likely to finally join the dynasty report community. Something that has always put me off doing one is that I've never liked the idea of having to manually type out hundreds of game summaries. This certainly makes it much more appealing.

Will the Cubs suck in OOTP 17 like they used to prior to 16?

There are recaps for the individual games, are there recaps for the whole seasons?
