Two questions:

1. How much history does your universe have? Do you have a large number of boxers with long records, or have you recently started a new universe?

2. How many groups do you have? I noticed my organization's title was vacant until I selected the right group.

Recent universe--I have title fights in a fight card after 10 fights
2. How many groups do you have? I noticed my organization's title was vacant until I selected the right group.

Just 1-men. It doesn't make a difference

This is now fixed, see RC6 when its released...

Both these issues are fixed in RC6...

In the spirit of Beta-testing I should mention a couple of things. In the Start Fight Screen, you probably should use a smaller font to accomodate fighters who have long names like "Sebastian Ignacio Ceballos". (See Below)

What is the "1932-01" beside a fighter for? I see that 1932 is the career start date, what's the "01"?

"...In the Fight Screen the fighters pics are still too small. If possible, some time in the not too distant future, move the Strats/Conditions down to where they were in earlier versions, enlarge the pics, move the names above the pics with the flag and record under the name. Get rid of the year. Use part of the middle space to give more details of the fight, like weight class or title contested..."

There are a few RFG-related bugs in RC6 concerning generated names, at least two carried over from 2.5.

1. First names don't have the right nationality. Here are some examples:

All Australians have Chinese first names.
All French fighters have Arabic names.
English fighters have German names.
Japanese fighters have Finnish names.

2. From the first version of the RFG, only the language at the top of the list of the nation in question is recognized. No other surname nationalities are generated.

3. The last thing is that when fighters with elite overall ratings are generated, especially 14s and 15s, roughly half of them are lazy according to their conditioning ratings (11s and 12s).

I'm okay with waiting until all the more serious bugs are taken care of.

Thanks.

To add to this list I have just created some fighters and the Americans have Russian first names

Well, America is a very diverse country. Maybe they're sleeper agents.

hahahaha, are these imported or new tb2013 games? If they are imported, does it also happen in new games?

It looks like the nation names tables are out of sync. I have noticed 2.5 data, esp if it comes from a 2.0 saved game has different matching.

If its not a tb2013 game, please send me the 2.5 game that was imported so I can track through the import routine. Send it to someone@pisd.co.uk with a little note so I know which bug it does with.

The universe was created in RC6. The settings are default. As a time saver, I suggest you do as I did and generate 1000 fighters with various nationalities and are rated at 12-15. It will be emailed in a few minutes.

Cap, I'm sure it's just a bug.

Continue to have the same problem. Imported UNI from TB2.5.27 with no problem. Updating data also works. But when I try to update from pool it stops on the HW's. Try to open fighters ( or any other locker) and it knocks me out of the game. I never have got this to work. And it seems to stop on the HW's at different places. Sometimes it skips HW's and starts with the CW's.

It works though in 2.5.27 when I update from pool.

Mine was created in RC5 I think, not quite sure but its definitely a 2.6 game

Some other RFG notes. I no longer get the crash when using the RFG so that appears to be fixed now, however when I select random division it just creates Heavyweights. I'm also getting a fairly large number of fighters with 0 rating. Another thing I've spotted is that when choosing fighters who are at the end of their career it sets them to retired. Not sure if this is correct

I have just fixed six bugs relating to the "Update from pool" option. This means I have most likely fixed your issue. Please check in the next build.

Just dawned on me that I did't see the name of the venue in the fight screen. Is that just me?

Cap

P.S. Just realized it's on the very bottom of the screen. Not very visible. Another thing that should be on top. This kind of thing helps form your mental picture of the event. I am one who rarely looks at the Strats and Conditions at left and right. Only check punches once in a while once that first bell rings.

Its in the status bar at the bottom in that font you don't like I thought it would be better not to disrupt the pictures of the game action with a splodge of text.

Paul. Take a quick look at my mock-up of the Fight Screen above. Wouldn't using slightly smaller fonts give you more space? Then you could have the venue listed above the animation. I know one of our brethren was hoping to see the venue pic used in the Fight Screen somehow, perhaps as background to the commentary(?). Perhaps more for future consideration, eh.

Actually, if the Rounds were smaller, you could possibly fit the venue to the right if technically feasible.

There are a number of things I can do. I could move the mode buttons up next to the central score board, then the make the picture bigger in the top corner, kinda like this:

I would need Aurelio to make it look prettier, maybe with different buttons at the top.

I like the idea of a simple fight screen that you can optionally select which has basic fight info without a stats bar. So it feels more like you are there at the ring side. I have this on my master list too.

However this is a skinning issue and right now I need to concentrate on bug fixing. The changes to the layout could be changed from the skining XML files. I will look at this when I get a chance, if no-one else has solved the issue before hand.

I like the idea of using the venue pic. Maybe before the fight starts, when the empty ring it currently shown, I replace it with the venue pic if it exsists. The only real issue here is the venue pics are too small and distort when enlarged... May I need an overlay like the RCG popup. Again this would be best done with Aurelio so we have move than just a placed picture..

Some great concepts there, Paul. Really looking forward to seeing them implemented. Too bad about your picture. Would have liked to see it.

Ok, seems the picture in my post above did not work, and every time I try to edit the post my browser crashes. So I will try again to upload the picture...
