I'm a bad luck charm.
Watched my Mets shut out the Marlins, then noticed that Jason Hammel had 0 H in the sixth in Milwaukee. I join that stream, bang-bang-bang, double by Carlos Gomez here, Gennett walking there, an error, and the Brewers bring the tying run to the plate. I should not be allowed to watch baseball.

And he gets it.
The announcer just called it Beckett's best game of his career. I don't know, I think the complete game shutout in game 6 of the World Series to win the series was better.

KC Jason Vargas had sat down the first 12 A's, when the announcers brought up the perfecto in progress.
They jinxed him pretty good. The A's tore him up and smeared his intestines all over their cavern for seven hits, four runs in the fifth, which is still ongoing with the bags full. ![]() ![]() And I thought I am a bad luck charm.

If Vargas does not go on the DL with a broken hand from punching Billy Butler (pop up falls right next to him...in admittedly tough sky)and especially Mike Moustakas (flubbed tailor made DP ball with bases loaded he let play him with one out...and they gave Lowrie a hit..typical because there are no errors in MLB anymore) after that inning I'm questioning his manhood.

Man, I am so betting against Rockies in his next start if they don't skip his turn. 126. I think he has had only one game more than 100 this year other than this. That's more than 25% above his average.
